Craziest Shit that ever happened to me... ever.

I was at club 58 last night, had a few too many jagerbombs, about 15-20 i think.

Anyway, was a mess, decided it was about time i headed home, got my friend to take me to the casino, as i was obviously DRUNK as.

got to the front, got into a taxi with some guy called Kamul from Yellow Cabs (Yep Kamul is a funny name for a indian)

Anyway, said to him, "Hey mate take me to the intersection of main north and smith road" and he agreed.

I then passed out, now this is where it gets scary/hilarious.

I got in the taxi at 3:30am.

I wake up, 6:45am, Look out the window and see trees/bushes/dirt/rabbits/kangaroos.

At this point i f**king look at the taxi meter and its at $278.00.

Turn to the driver and go "where the f**k am i man?"

He replies "Blanchetown, i got to main north road and you told me to keep going, i tried to wake you up"

Now i dunno, but if someone asks you to take them to f**king Salisbury East, how do you end up in Blanchetown, More realistically, closer to Waikerie.

Taxi driver refuses to pull over, get to a servo he pulls over at BP.

i open the door and get out the taxi at this time i have my mate on the phone yelling abuse at the driver

Driver calls his supervisor and has a huge cry then as i open the door he yells "HE IS DOING A RUNNER..DOING A RUNNER" and i was like "Look you idiot, where the f**k am i going to run too?"

Go inside the servo where i tell the attendant what happens and he just thinks that the driver is a absolute idiot, Started to think he was going to actually kill me or something considering i wasnt

too far out of Truro...lol.

f**ked up shit, Then i called the cops and the cop came down, simply told the guy he was a idiot and there was no reason he should have kept driving and he should have pulled into a police station and

asked them to wake me.

Cop told him i was to pay him $60 and he was to take me home, by the time i got home meter was sitting on $550 and the taxi driver had the worlds biggest cry about how it wasnt his fault and shit.

Hilarious night really,.

good thing it's only a TL

Not just a TL ... but a TLR ... the better v-twin suzuki.

You're just jealous anyway :/

Anyone know a good auto electrician that wont cost heaps...?

Rev Tacho doesn't work on my car.

Achilles Auto Electrical on Portrush road is who I'd recommend. I used to go to a certain auto electrician on mullers road who jacked me around when my alternator got rebuilt by them (at $330 too), so whatever u do, don't go to them ;P

-D

anyone got some hookups to buy gauges

im going to be doing a custom dash for the 31

autometer gauges seem the way to go, as i cant find any jap gauges that do a fuel level gauge

basically im goin to need

Oil Pressure

Oil Temp

Water Temp

Boost

Fuel Level

Speedo / Tacho sorted out with the Apexi RSM already (well, i gotta re-wire the RSM again to get speed working)

Anyone going into gouger street for the classic Adelaide street party thingy friday night? Get a chance to check out all the entrants.

Yeah, I check it out every year. I'll be there. Going by bike. Easier to find a park :)

+1 :(

anyone keen to try this?

I made one of those R34 ones going back a good year now (during yet another stint of unemployment :)) and they're bloody fiddly.

There'd be some pics up on NS somewhere of mine, I think these days it's squashed under some pile of random crap somewhere in my room :(

    • Not sure the US can import anything other than the C34 Stagea's, but if you can and you need to to tow, DO NOT under any circumstances get an M35 Stagea. If it is just as a family car and your country/state allows it, absolutely and definitely get an M35 (3.5L if possible as it is effectively a 350Z) over a C34.
    • Punch your VIN (nm35-xxxxxx) into Amayama.com You can see everything there quite easily.
    • Thanks for that, I'll check it all out. I can always do the brakes last anyway if its a problem.  The 16's are super cool, if they do fit I'll cruise around with them for a bit.
    • Well, that's kinda the point. The calipers might interfere with the inside of the barrels 16" rims are only about 14" inside the barrels, which is ~350mm, and 334mm rotors only leave about 8mm outboard for the caliper before you get to 350, And.... that;s not gunna be enough. If the rims have a larger ID than that, you might sneak it in. I'd be putting a measuring stick inside the wheel and eyeballing the extra required for the caliper outboard of the rotor before committing to bolting it all on.
    • OK, so again it has been a bit of a break but it was around researching what had been done since I didn't have access to Neil's records and not everything is obvious without pulling stuff apart. Happily the guy who assembled the engine had kept reasonable records, so we now know the final spec is: Bottom end: Standard block and crank Ross 86.5mm forgies, 9:1 compression Spool forged rods Standard main bolts Oil pump Spool billet gears in standard housing Aeroflow extended and baffled sump Head Freshly rebuilt standard head with new 80lb valve springs Mild porting/port match Head oil feed restrictor VCT disabled Tighe 805C reground cams (255 duration, 8.93 lift)  Adjustable cam gears on inlet/exhaust Standard head bolts, gasket not confirmed but assumed MLS External 555cc Nismo injectors Z32 AFM Bosch 023 Intank fuel pump Garret 2871 (factory housings and manifold) Hypertune FFP plenum with standard throttle   Time to book in a trip to Unigroup
