so, ill be re-painting my aquarium cabinet before i set it up, whats the best way to prep it?

spend the time sanding, including the crevices a fiddly bits (alot of work :yes: )

or give it a light sand, wood primer, then paint?

seeing as i have some time onb my hands and the shed isnt much warmer then the house, i might as-well get started!

Use varnish. Looks shitloads better than paint. Sand back to bare wood, stain it if required and then varnish and seal. Bobs ur auntie.

Btw u get my message about the turtles?

i went for a hills run last night in the 31 with the roads very slippery.....was much fun. Had to bed in the bottom end bearings so yea..took it for a strap.

shit sorry ben, i seen the 1 new msg thingy but i assumed it was the one scott sent me a little while ago..

fish haven took the turtles for 20 bucks, and a big container of tropical food, which was fine by me.

if i could turn back time, i would have given them to you, as i went back yesterday, and they had a $125 price tag on

Yep, can't wait!

Hot means barely clothed chickies and tons of water sprayers and tents .... was pretty darn hot last year too - but nowhere as hot as it will be on Friday!

I still can't wait .... Prodigy, Living End, Sneaky Sound System, The Ting Tings, Pendulum, Pee Wee Ferris, Lupe Fiasco, Quan .... the list goes on *excited*!

yeah living end are sweet. and i'd watch sneaky just cause i think their singer is a bit of alright... neil young would be my top bet, but im workin this fri (fishing trip next weekend if u wanna go andrew ;P reply to sms's ya scotsman) and the heat would turn me homocidal...

^^ then a lift up in the Merc doesn't help me .... my quota of abandoning the missus and a 15 month old toddler for the night has been filled for most of the year already.

anyone seen those flashes of light in the in the clouds up north? is that lightining? on a stinking hot night like this, weird!

Yeah, and from the back of my house where I saw the flashes I could not see a cloud in sight.

just heat lightning dude, happens when cold air passes over the top of hot air. usual occurrence during summer nights... but keeeeeeeen on some rain :P

i used to skateboard with that guy back when i lived in the states. hes a twat to say the least but a good rapper. his real name his mohamond.

sorry for the usless facts haha

also, last night on the way home there was a hit and run on victor harbour rd at the top of the hill. the guy came back and turned himself in later though.

who the hell walks on that victor harbour rd anyways? and at night in the pitch black too?!

      The oil pressure sensor for logging, does it happen to be the one that was slowly breaking out of the oil block? If it is,I would be ignoring your logs. You had a leak at the sensor which would mean it can't read accurately. It's a small hole at the sensor, and you had a small hole just before it, meaning you could have lost significant pressure reading.   As for brakes, if it's just fluid getting old, you won't necessarily end up with air sitting in the line. Bleed a shit tonne of fluid through so you effectively replace it and go again. Oh and, pay close attention to the pressure gauge while on track!

      I don't know it is due to that. It could just be due to load on track being more than a dyno. But it would be nice to rule it out. We're talking a fraction of a second of pulling ~1 degree of timing. So it's not a lot, but I'd rather it be 0... Thicker oil isn't really a "bandaid" if it's oil that is going to run at 125C, is it? It will be thicker at 100 and thus at 125, where the 40 weight may not be as thick as one may like for that use. I already have a big pump that has been ported. They (They in this instance being the guy that built my heads) port them so they flow more at lower RPM but have a bypass spring that I believe is ~70psi. I have seen 70psi of oil pressure up top in the past, before I knew I had this leak. I have a 25 row oil cooler that takes up all the space in the driver side guard. It is interesting that GM themselves recommend 0-30 oil for their Vette applications. Unless you take it to the track where the official word is to put 20-50w oil in there, then take that back out after your track day is done and return to 0-30.

      I take it that the knock retard is from bearings tapping a little tune? Thicker oil is a fragile bandaid. You need a much bigger oil cooler and probably the bigger pump being discussed.
