anyone know what number to call to find out when i can apply for p2's ?

Ring Transport SA 3 times to get 3 different people.

I'm serious. I rang them, asked when I can get it, they said now... so I went in and got told I can't for another month!! F*cking useless.

That was... back in like '07 though.

motherf***ers

i ring them up , and they say i can get my p2's when ever , then "oh wait a minute you got done for speeding in oct last year, you should be disqualified from driving"

im like , NO ... it was only 3 demerit points , "doesn't matter, you still should of been suspended"

so at this point i am "excuse me ? , are you joking or something ?? i was told that i wouldnt be disqualified and now you are telling me different"

"yes that's correct"

now im REALLY pissed off and then the women says "you may receive a letter of disqualification"

so i ask "may?" ,

"yes , you might receive a letter of disqualification"

so now after ringing up to find out a simple frigging question , i am now shitting my self knowing that i might lose my licence over it

what that f***

seriously!

Dude, seriously, don't worry about it. This is what I mean... Transport SA are hopeless.

Call them again! Get a new person and you'll get a different answer.

If you've been caught for ANYTHING that has demerit points attached to it on your P1's, you'll have to wait longer/take a different course to get your P2's. They make mistakes all the time.

I ran a red light on my P1's in like '06. Paid it, copped it, etc. Got 3 points (obviously no license loss). 2 years later, went to get my P2's after being told I needed to take a driver intervention course... never took the course, got my P2's without any issues.

They f**k up all the time with everything. The call centre people are a bunch of muppets, and don't get me started on Service SA on North Tce... I'll require a whole new thread for that!!

If you've only been done for speeding, with 3 points and you never ever got any other demerit-point-related fine, you won't lose your license... you might have to take that driver intervention course, though.

Taken from the Transport SA Website:

You may apply to obtain your P2 provisional licence if you:

* are at least 17 and a half years of age

* have passed a mandatory Hazard Perception Test (you are exempt from undertaking the hazard perception test if you reside more than 100kms from the nearest place at which Hazard Perception Tests are conducted or if you live on Kangaroo Island)

* have held your P1 licence under one of the following circumstances:

o have held your P1 licence for a minimum of twelve months and have not incurred any demerit points; or

o have held a P1 licence for a minimum of twelve months since the offence date of your last demerit offence; or

o have held a P1 licence for a minimum of twelve months, have incurred one, two or three demerit points (without breaching provisional -conditions) and have successfully completed a Driver Awareness Course; or have held a P1 licence for a minimum of two years.

And, if you're reading this, Transport SA... it's called f*cking customer service and communication. You all need to learn it.

sigh !!

how the hell are they so frigging misleading !

It's incredible. It's happened to me many, many times.

P2 question. Full license question. Demerit point question. permits for my GTR questions... I've been through it all. Argued with the customer service guys, argued with some blonde bimbo at the Service SA branch and have argued with the Service SA manager many, many times.

I hate them with a passion. And I'm sure as hell, they all hate me.

There's a guy who works there and he types with 1 finger and looks like this:

1 (3 second delay) A (3 second delay) 8 (3 second delay). He's a joke. And then he said my writing was "unreadable" for a VIN number. Bullshit it was!!

Seriously, call them a few times, get different people and your answer changes every time.

HA!

im not suprised at all

more money on customer service then hoon laws please

Yep spot on. They fixed their ticketing system at Service SA... now they should fix the people behind the desks and on the phones.

Most of the time, they actually all stare into the distance with a blank look on their faces. It's really quite weird. But they are so rude to anyone foreign!! It's crazy! They treat everyone like you're stupid.

Its been a while since my average hot girl update, but TRANSPORTER 3, hottie imo.

You serious???

On another note that movie is the worst movie i have ever seen... The first two were alright but this one is just crap....

(this is only my opion, yours may differ)

I hate the 'imports' that work at BPs and Hungry Jacks now  They have the poorest customer service skills.

Reported one of them last night to the duty manager. Purchased fuel at the BP, went to pay with plastic. This guy snatched my card from me, when I wanted to swipe it myself. Okay, I'll ignore that. Then he hands me the keypad thingy with his hand covering the display. I got to take the swipe machine from him and he snatches it back and glares at me as if I was going to steal it! He yells at me "don't touch it". I said to him I've got no idea what he wanted, because I couldn't see the display and he was non-talkative. He lets me see the display, I select credit and then OK. I sign the docket, but he doesn't give me my card back. I ask for the card and he gives me a dumb look. I repeat myself, this time pointing to my card and he snatches it up and slaps it on the counter in front of me. This is when I said "mate, I'm sick of your attitude. Get me your manager now."

I relay the whole scenario to the duty manager and even added that everytime I'm served by this guy, he acts like he doesn't want to be here. He has poor, poor customer service skills and I refuse to be a customer to places that have "grumpy" employees. I explain that I'm a manager myself, and if my staff behaved like that they'd be given the arse. I'm calling him grumpy from now on if I see him there again. :D

fancy a lol

    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
    • Nah, that is hella wrong. If I do a simple linear between 150°C (0.407v) and 50°C (2.98v) I get the formula Temperature = -38.8651*voltage + 165.8181 It is perfectly correct at 50 and 150, but it is as much as 20° out in the region of 110°C, because the actual data is significantly non-linear there. It is no more than 4° out down at the lowest temperatures, but is is seriously shit almost everywhere. I cannot believe that the instruction is to do a 2 point linear fit. I would say the method I used previously would have to be better.
    • When I said "wiring diagram", I meant the car's wiring diagram. You need to understand how and when 12V appears on certain wires/terminals, when 0V is allowed to appear on certain wires/terminals (which is the difference between supply side switching, and earth side switching), for the way that the car is supposed to work without the immobiliser. Then you start looking for those voltages in the appropriate places at the appropriate times (ie, relay terminals, ECU terminals, fuel pump terminals, at different ignition switch positions, and at times such as "immediately after switching to ON" and "say, 5-10s after switching to ON". You will find that you are not getting what you need when and where you need it, and because you understand what you need and when, from working through the wiring diagram, you can then likely work out why you're not getting it. And that will lead you to the mess that has been made of the associated wires around the immobiliser. But seriously, there is no way that we will be able to find or lead you to the fault from here. You will have to do it at the car, because it will be something f**ked up, and there are a near infinite number of ways for it to be f**ked up. The wiring diagram will give you wire colours and pin numbers and so you can do continuity testing and voltage/time probing and start to work out what is right and what is wrong. I can only close my eyes and imagine a rat's nest of wiring under the dash. You can actually see and touch it.
