nah i need to sell them Krishy. they have $850 worth of awesome condish tyres on them so im only asking $450 for the rims? yeh they are in the main section, ive dropped to 1300.

Problem is, the resale of tyres is pretty much nil, unless they're semis. To sell a set of road tyres on their own, you'd be lucky to find anyone willing to pay upwards of $400 even for the best shit. Most people looking at your rims will just see driftteks for $1300, which they can get without tyres somewhere else for like $1000 or less, put cheap $100 secondhandies on and be done with it.

I'd just put $1000 on them to get rid of them if it were my wheels. Sure you get 300 less, but you gain $1000 (because the rims might actually sell then :D)

Also damo isn't one of them cracked??

If that's the case then they are worth even less.

OK

Being the resourceful young lad that I am, I have a few handy links in my bookmarks. One of these is for japanese luxury car specialist - Fabulous. Now, these blokes build some damn nice vehicles, with some hefty price tags to boot.

Take this here S Class for example. Now the S Class isn't really a cheap car. I guess the guys at Fabulous thought along the lines of 'well if they can afford that, they can afford to pay big for mods' :)

The one in that pic has front bar, side skirts, rear bar, rear bootlip spoiler, chrome taillight additions, driving lights and some rather large wheels  The cost for these additions?

$28100 :D

Chuck the 'Fabulous Luxury Floormat' set in as well for $1500, why not

Still, if you had an F430 and wanted a front splitter, side skirts and some trimming around the exhausts you'll pay 14k for FRP. 19.5k if you want carbon :P

Throw in the Sachs racing suspension package and set of 20s with the body mods and you're 54 thousand dollars lighter :)

    • So for the wide band is a Bosch 4.9 correct for the Link G4+ along with a Can bus? Just get the Link gear or is generic ok too? Eg here: LINK LINK DIGITAL WIDEBAND CAN MODULE WITH BOSCH 4.9 SENSOR : KYP Performance House
    • Bit difficult to follow. Have a look below and see what the standard R32 layout was like. Note there was a restrictor in place immediately before "turbocharged pressure control solenoid" that, if removed, magically got you 1 bar boost.
    • I might be way off the mark here.. there must be a T junction under the manifold. That takes manifold pressure through a check valve prior to the T, one side splits out to this bleed off orifice, the other straight to the wastegate actuators.
    • Carrying out some engine due diligence before my first drive in a 260RS that has been in storage for 10+ years, and found two lines that are susposed to be plumbed into the boost control solenoid. One of the lines (the wastegate boost supply line) to actuate the gates, had a bolt in one end blocking it. The other line (main boost signal line) from the very rear of the intake manifold (RB26DETT) and runs up to the boost controller had this pill in the end of it as seen in photos. Other than the obvious (T28 Ceramic turbos might well be cooked)  Can anyone shed any light on if there is any validity at all with this mod, bleeding a constant fixed rate of manifold boost pressure off through this 3mm hole?  Is it deliberate?  Was this a 90s Jap mod done to RB26's? Or has someone just fitted this without any idea of what happens to ceramic T28s if they are not gate controlled?
