went to funkoars tonight. ive never seen so many full blown punch ups in a pit before.

nor have a i ever seen a vn do ringies in a bp forecourt before.

nor have i ever seen star force rock up en masse to a music event.

interesting night.

welcome to the dirty south lol, can garuntee more than half that croud woulda been good ol morphies blokes throwin punches

i am not happy with the way the car corners at the moment! turn in yeah it's ok the front feels solid but the rear twist under harsh cornering! i had a look at r34's to why they'feel solid and it turns out the reinforced the rear with some sort of brace behind the rear seats! basically there's too my flex more my liking!

isnt there a dedicated thread for that?

yes, but theres nothing saying i can't post it in here.

well just come back from down the street, there was a heap of people waiting on the side of the road

just waiting to see some bikies. there was a heap of police aswel, think there was 3-4 bus loads of police with

riot gear lol, i swear they had more police assistance than the Queen when she was here haha

sway bars help with body roll! but you can get a hint with the rear that it flexes while turning at higher speeds under acceleration

Replace every bush in your suspension with nolathane or alloy bushes, bracing the chassis wont do much if your still have rubber flexing in the suspension.

Have you got cradle bush spacers? If you haven't then what you are feeling is the rear cradle bushes deforming. Get some urethane pineapples and it will improve the feeling 100%.

Ok so having a weird strange problems with my car. Had baffle plate in coz of defect and have just recently put back in my stock ecu with remap including gtr injectors which are still in the car.

My car will run on low revs going thru the gears but as soon as i put my foot down to get it a squirt shoots massive black smoke out and doesn't move literally looses all power until i back of and slowly increase.

HELP PLEASE. I've changed plugs helped for a little

P.S i can still rev the s##t out of it while in nutral with nothing

Done the usual clean/check of the AFM? Could cause a similar problem, obviously the remap supports the bigger injectors yes?

Also, maybe an IC pipe has come off, loosened or one of the silicon joiners might have a crack in it. Check them all, you'd be surprised. Me and Steve both had a similar problem, that was the cause

    • Hi guys, long time no post as per usual! It's been a busy year so far, the biggest thing being a new job.  After 28 years in the automotive industry I decided it was time for a change.  I was losing faith in the industry and where it's heading.  Now in a completely different industry (electrical) working for a company that manufacture water pump contollers.  Not as sexy as cars but it's an interesting,  challenging industry. I now don't work Saturdays which is a bonus!  It's still 50-55 hours a week but having Saturdays ack after 28 years of working them is awesome!   No news on the GT-R but i did decide to add some more JDM goodness into my life....           1990 300 ZX.  She's not perfect but for a 35 year old car she ain't bad!  Just going to tidy it up a bit and enjoy it.  It's currently auto but will start stockpiling everything for a manual swap. It WILL distract me even further from the GT-R but im hoping not for too long! It somewhat proves a 6'8" freak can fit in a 300 ZX.  Sort of...  I drove it home from the previous owners house in Melbourne via Black Spur and Merton Gap (2 awesome bits of Victorian twisty road) and it was amazing!  Handles so well!!!   I don't think it would be worthy of a full build page but I'll post up some of the upgrades here if anyone is interested?  Cheers guys!
    • End game is to: - Remove all the slop from old worn parts - Adjust setup so that the wheels actually fit and the car is drivable (currently it is not because of the extreme rubbing on the guards).   Progress over the last couple of days, removed the rear hubs! Next steps: - Buy bushings - Replace bushings/bearings on hub - Reinstall
