yeah when my first core went i bought the whole box from the wreckers and Luke and I pulled my whole dash out using the guide on here but i had the core go another 2 times so all up broke 3 cores

when my 2nd core broke i took it too synergy because i doubted my work and i wanted the insurance of if it broke again they would have to pay for it because they sourced the core also, then that core broke and i took it back for warranty work and few other things like blender motor as well

Cool, thanks... I feel a little better about it now :(

if you get stuck, gimmie a call cause I've done this before on the 32. Having the dash out makes it easier but u can do it without the glovebox like steve said (just means its a little tricky to unclip the actuator from its mount.

If its anything like mine, it'll just be dry solder joints (like the guide steve posted a while back shows). Hope you're handy with a soldering Iron...

Thanks, I'm going to wait a couple of weeks until I complete the house move then have a go at it..... Yeah I'm pretty bloody good with the soldering iron now after about 8 channels of mic preamp, around 4 compressor/limiters and a couple of EQ's and then many many PSU's...LOL!
