sigh @ random taking out mirror on my daily/parents car

more money going to car parts yay

Then dont have a whinge at putting more money to car parts

I like this.

Vu this aint facebook man lol

and you like everything dont you Vu......*waits for scandy's comment*

i wasnt even talking about my skyline but then you come in and go "if you did your research about the motor then you wont have the problem of having S1 parts and a S2 motor, would you Mitchy"

my daily/parents car isnt my R33 , obviously

Point was to stop having a whinge mate

last night a white 31 was into a pole at the start of the express way, looks like they tried to take the entry to the express way too quickly in the wet and went head first into one of the light poles.

Hope it was no one from on here!!!

seen it too, dont think it is shaun. Its been a spot on the 31 club before but dont think they're a member there either. what time did u go past it?

:) :) :)

haha, ezyreg thinks thats an acceptable plate...

haha, their language filter doesnt seem to work

Before anyone else gets their knickers in a fkn knot and starts yet another thread (it's been soooo done to death) about what is essentially not an issue as far as I'm concerned, I've put together some key quotes from that article Mitch provided a link to....

"These repeat offenders are hell bent on driving dangerously and engaging in anti-social behavior,"
"They give little or no thought to the safety of innocent road users or their own safety.
^ True. Selfish f**kers probably deserve what they get!
"Our message is if these hoons persist with their irresponsible behaviour, then we will crush what they value most, their cars.
"Illegal street racing may give some drivers a quick rush, but their dicing-with-death antics can have consequences lasting a lifetime and that's why we want these drivers off our streets."
^ True, I know I want these f**kwits off of the streets too.
Road Safety Minister Michael O'Brien said it was not only repeat offenders who risked having their cars crushed, but also those caught once for high-speed street racing[/b].
"I think the community wants this too. They are not prepared to tolerate this."
And so they shouldn't

Simple equation really:

Act like a f**kwit whilst driving your car = get your car crushed

Drive your car responsibly = nothing to worry about

Same. It's pathetic.

I guess when it comes to the opinions of some others on these forums I'm not entirely convinced (or paranoid enough) to think that these new laws are going to single us guys out as hoons in order to crush cars just ffs.... maybe I have too much faith in the justice system :D

meh no use trying to turn a brick wall into a window so they can see :D

the end of the day if used correctly i dont think anyone will have a prob with it, its just not everyone has such blind faith in the law being used correctly.

i seem to recall a cop having a chat questioning if we have been doing burnouts and then leaving ripping 1 on his way out. hmmmmmmmm double standards

but then there are tools that seem to race ignoring other cars on the road like the ass that nearly hit me in his soarer, think that needed a padling or crushing :domokun:

I'd do mine with this stuff if i was gonna re paint them.

<snip>

thats what ill be doing. inlet mani and rocker will be done in red crinkle coat.

new turbo coming! :D

will be going to have a look at a GTiR T28 this weekend, seller assures me its in good condish (spose ill see), will need to mod my dump pipe and machine and fit my old comp cover, but yay!

Ah ha! So the Stag has influenced you!!!

You should know better by now than to post up a "what to do with my car" request Cara. You'd rarely get a sensible answer. The answer you want is in those car mags you've collected ... have a browse and see what works for you. :D

hahaha yeah i think i have waaayyy to many car mags lol.

i love it how people are always trying to point out something even though its too late , f**k off and dont talk to me about it thanks.

your car is orange.

well ive pulled my car apart lol got the rocker covers off and all and gonna go start cleaning it all up ready to paint. found out something interesting however, the airbox that is attached to the bit that goes into the throttle body, was melted underneath!!!! it had been touching my extractors :domokun: explains quite a bit on why she is always either running rich or leaning out ....gonna try and get a nice shiny pipe to replace the black box and tidy up my engine bay a bit :)

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
