i went for a hills run last night in the 31 with the roads very slippery.....was much fun. Had to bed in the bottom end bearings so yea..took it for a strap.

awesome post cara.

andrew, i still think these would look f**kin baller on the new ride.

im in two minds

one i really like the black rims with black paint and a nice offset + rim size

on the other hand, black is the color that goes best with chromed rims... dont think chromies look anywhere near as good on other cars (they look shit on white for example)

and those rims there are quite gangsta

yeah Dave those wheels would nearly go on my car - the fronts are perfect, but the rears would stick out 45mm wider than stock and sit 31mm closer to my struts, which may foul. Maybe we can head down to JIS with a jack and try them on when I get it? Might fit - and I can roll the rear guards with Luke's mate's roller if need be. not sure if they will let me try them on though.

Pity I am in love with CE28Ns .... and yes bronze ones would look hot on my car Talbo .... but I am kinda thinking the chrome/black ones as they are a bit different. Still undecided.

they'll let you try em on no worries at all andrew.

i stuffed em around for a good 30 minutes finding a hub, rotor, and caliper to check if my meshies would clear, and they didnt have a problem with it. as for rolling, yeah, stretched tyres, and a solid 'paper roll' should see you grinning.

yeah I am not a fan of chromies either Ben, but as Dave has said previously .... I am buying a black VIP style car, so dished chrome rims are the shizz .... especially in a super mexican offset like those VKSFs .... I might just give in to his inane rantings yet :)

But the Ebay fairy has been bringing nice carbon fibre and other bits for her .... I am pretty excited with some of the gear I have already acquired :)

a set of ssr viennas in 18x8.5 all round (with super low offset outback for mega dish) would be huge amounts of win. but youd need to be fair low to properly pull it off.

all u need is a hydraulic kit so u can hit switches n sit sideways, get more bounce to tha ounce yo

haha true Pete .... I will be taking a couple of items with me on the plane to fit for the drive back :)

Dave I will post some photos of bits shortly.

So guys, I have done a VERY dodgy photochop of the chrome/black CE28Ns onto my car .... forgive the aspect of the wheels - I don't have a photo of them laying perfectly flat, so they look a bit phucked in my photochop - but it gives you the idea. I specifically like them since the car has a fair bit of chrome on it (and I will be taking off the black window guards so it will look even more chrome) - so they tie in nicely with the black/polished combo imho. Also, the car will be dropped just over 1" all round, so will fill the guards a bit better.

I am leaving this picture up for 2 minutes - so those who see it, enjoy and please keep the secret until I get my car. Those who don't - you snooze, you lose :) I will be taking the pic down in 2 minutes. Anyone found not keeping the secret will be dealt with by me accordingly.

      My 3.8 kW system (when new, not so much nearly 20 yrs later) will do 21 kWh per day (best few months of the year), and that's with an afternoon shading issue. So it really could/should be able to do maybe 24. So a 6.6 kW system probably cannot fill a 40ish kWh battery from scratch, but then it is very unlikely to ever need to. Let's presume that you use 10-15 kWh during the day and stash the rest. So long as the battery isn't drawn down below ~50%, it'll be fine. And that draw down presumes using 20 kWh overnight, which is a reasonably heavy draw. So that seems reasonable. The 40kWh will be good for extended outages, and very bad days where you get almost no generation for a day or two. Might struggle to top it all the way back up after it gets pulled all the way down though. I'd think you'd probably want about 10 kW of panels to make life a little easier, wrt keeping a 40 kWh battery charged. But then....does it really need to be at 100% every day? Probably not.

      Am I wrong in thinking that there is a hell of a lot of battery storage for a 6.6 feed into it Your battery is around 4 times bigger than the battery that is going into my place in a week, but I have nearly twice the feed Will the batteries actually ever get fully charged? School me on the science bitches

      Thanks Joshuaho96, yes - as someone else also suggested, the 8HP seems the 'smart choice' - HA - and ZERO to do with cost, but I am sure 8 speeds will be better than 6 speeds - HA - maybe.  I will purchase a new 8HP,  Thanks.  ELVIS.
