Then again you need to sum up the pros and cons of living at home...

Pros,

Mum cooks

Mum washs

Mum cleans room

Mum makes bed

Mum pretty much does everything

Dad mows lawn

Dad helps divide the trips to the fridge to get beer by getting two each time

Dad give you free advice (sometimes, acutally most times not what you wanta hear)

Dad encourages you to go fishing with him

You will have your entire pay to spend on material items

Cons,

No independance (However this could be a 'pro' also if your challanged)

Un-cool

No chance of picking up one nighters and getting away with it (Your one nighter will be your mums best friend the next day, over breakfast your mum will invite her back)

You will have no skyline mod money

You will gain weight, due to more KFC, McDonalds and general takeaway and less greens

Your body odour will get worse, until you meet a girl who buys you nice stuff to make you more acceptable to her friends (my personal favourite)

Thats a short look into it... You should list them all out and do what makes you feel happiest...

I still reckon move out btw... Thats what Jebus would do...

how so col.. i find my aroma and essence of 40ml of optimax/vpower splashed on my shirt and neckline is uber sexy and gets my 17yo pimped chickos wet every morning.. without fail. that and the Big mac stain on my socks.. chicks dig that smell..

ok i have turned this thread into something gay. my appologies

anyway.. as if u go backwards and put a SOHC push rod (shut up shane) V8 into ur skyrine?

I'm surprised this thread kept well on topic, very impressive.

I'm starting to think moving out is the best option at this point, once i grad Uni i can look to earning some real money then getting a 34 GTR or something nice like that.

i was looking into other engines to drop in and along the way i found out my dad is a raging fan old model V8's (i only just found out he used to drive a V12!) particularly the Buick Rivera and Wildcats and i think i would much rather either by my dad either a fully restored or work in progress car for Christmas and restore that with him rather than potentially kill the Skyline.

besides the idea of buying my old man a car makes me far more happier then making him worry about the thought of me strapping the V8 into a power pole any day.

im playing around.. dont worry i wont start a fist fight.. but still who is this dude.? if he knew me then im cool with derogatory comments... but hes like the new kid in school who calls someone dumb to act cool infront of his new peers.. not a way to make friends just enemies..

btw mate im 19 and i think its acceptable to live at home

hey brotha, id say move out. my dad bought his 4door liner for 13k (was up for sale for 15) and then a year later he sold it to me for 10k(thats rite my daddy got me my 4door lol) then i moved out after that.my car is auto to so i feel ur pain about the 32 being slow but hey do what i did, move out, struggle for a few months, settle down and start spending money on ur line. atm im looking ata man conversion for mine. moving out dont cost too much if u find the rite place, i live in surfers for $75 a week, in a bloody nice place 2, with 2 chicks!!! woot woot! plus living out of home is the bomb, ur mum dnt nag all the time and u dnt have to worry bout making other people happy and u can do whatever the hell u want!ill die before i go back. if u wna bond with ur dad go have a beer at his place and drink all his grog,

just what i do.

looks like I'm gonna move out, found a place at Kelvin Grove that floated my boat. cars will always be there but my youth wont be plus if it all goes pear shaped i always got a roof and meal here at home so how could i lose?

I fear to think/picture the type of 17yo "chickos" that would go for the smell of petrol and big mac stains...

But make them sound real classy Mark... ;) Real classy...

    • Hey crew, Failed my WOF cause of a lower control arm, and I've decided to hit both arms, and also the compression rods at the same time(seems they're gonna be the most likely upcoming failure points from some discussions with the lads over on the G35 reddit). I've looking at these form Z1:  https://www.z1motorsports.com/front-suspension/hayaku-automotive/hayaku-g35-front-compression-rod-p-40716.html https://www.z1motorsports.com/front-suspension/hayaku-automotive/hayaku-g35-front-lower-control-arm-p-40674.html I asked Z1 if they'd work as it's the same platform, just RHD vs LHD. I basically got told "Lol dunno". Specifically they aren't aware of any difference but can't guarantee fitment as they haven't done it on a 350GT. So guess I'm asking is if there is any issues with using 2005 G35 coupe suspension parts on a 2005 350GT coupe? Orginally I thought it could be something in the way of the arms that each control arm is designed to be positioned around, but that'd be an engineering nightmare for Nissan needing two different shaped control arms 😅
    • ^ This. The mode door actuator is a common failure, as is the actuator and/or the actual valve for the coolant flow control valve. I also don't know how available the mode door actuator is these days. I've been meaning to look into it and get one from wherever is possible, to keep in the shed for the rainy day when mine eventually fails. Anyway, the advice to you is to search the usual NOS part supply places, or even just go to Nissan and see what they list.
    • Have you got a pic of the actuator? My guess is that unit has failed internally and was flopping around, so the previous engineer who owned it forced it to be fully open to cold air (blocking the heater core path). As far as you can tell, is anything else wrong in the system? Likely you just need a new actuator (not sure how available they are) and then "installation is the reverse of disassembly"
    • I'm happy with the Lsailt unit that I put in, it puts full Android on the top screen so you can run whatever Nav and other Apps you want, while still existing inside the factory functionality like automatic reverse cams, audio input switching, retains factory bluetooth etc. Not cheap and the install was moderate (not simple, not hard) Yours is a V36 not V37 though right?
    • Yeap, all the NC's that I originally looked at that had a hard top were PRHT, which makes the roof line look horrible, hence why I said nope to them My only caveat for another MX5 was it needed to have a hard top, and initially I didn't think you could get a detachable hard top for the NC,  like my NB had Again, a big thanks to Matty for helping me source the detachable hard top for my little girl, they are as rare as hens teeth in Australia, and the few people who have them, keep them Also to Greg, for initially pointing me in the NC direction NC PRHT 🤢🤮 Not mine (I really should take more photos of my car), but a NC with the detachable hard top 😁 To me, the difference in how the detachable hard top roof line looks, and how it actually follows the bodies lines, like they do on NA's and NB's, is chalk and cheese compared to the bulbous looking PRHT
