You will need HUGE brakes!

Nice setup. Good to see a few more big power gtts coming along.

Definitely do valve springs and why not port the head while you are at it?

All else sounds good but make sure you have very wide rear tyres ;)

if you are going to use it for drift i suggest u read sydney kids oil control thread and that turbo you are using is a bit laggy for drift unless u keep the comp ratio up and think about more cc's. i would also suggest a different plenum than the greddy one like a custom made one with longer runners!

u want it to rev so head work it a must also valves springs and everything done to head is a good start.

also i would use a tial 44mm-38 is too small and also 260 tomei cams that will help with midrange

thats the engine done now what about suspension and castor rods and all that shit ...r34 aint the best car for drift cheers its like taking my van to the drift track..hahahah

cheers

Are you sure the 44mm westgate is the right choise I do not think so.

Why longer runners?

Yes tomei 260 cams but whats springs are the best choise?

I put all my $$$ onto the diff being the first thing to let go :D

Also your more than likely going to get valve float given you'll be running a reasonbly high amount of boost, and using big RPM to do so.

the half shafts will snap before the diff thats for sure. it seems that with anything 300 rwkw and over your walking a fine line with the stock sized halfshafts.

swap in GTR items along with a decent LSD

The gtr ones, are they a straight fit in, or are they fairly easy to put in?

500whp (370ish rwkw) with a 62 rear is a pipe dream but very Nice streeter setup none the less. and the 38m gate is to small for anything over 400whp really.

R34 with the right setup is sweet for drift, a little big but stable as and far less work than a 32 or s13 chassis.

quite a interesting thread as ive just put my car in for a simliar setup, as stated above i dont think a .62 housing will meet 500rwhp.

im going to be running a 3.0L setup for the extra torque, so wat do u guys recommend diff wise for mainly street use. occasional drag.

also jason did u modify a gtr greddy plenum to fit the neo? i dont believe there are any bolt on greedy plenums

as for power i reckon closer to 400whp.

std diff will be fine (just shim it or put a centre in it)... alot of hype up there for nothing..... we broke one diff in 3 years. i will post you a link for the plenum, i have done a few just use the R33 one it bolts straight up just a few small things need changing accessory wise. piece of piss.

greddy plenums only support aroun 400whp???? i thought it be alot higher, plazmamans plenums (direct bold for neo) support 1000+ i believe, although the price is that high aswell lol

no i reckon a GT35R .6 will support around 400rwhp.... the plenums are good for at least double that.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
