Spoke to a large Nissan dealer in Adelaide and they said they don't and couldn't get the paint. Which dealer did you get yours from? Might have to get 1 sent.

Hmm I tried Nissan and got told the same as this. He said they absolutely, definitely and unequivocally couldn't get QT1, because it was a special paint (pearl, metallic etc) that wouldn't come out of a container. Great. Can anybody recommend another Nissan place anywhere else in Australia that I can get QT1 touch-up from?

why dont you just go to a panelbeater/spraypainter and get them to match it up and sell you a small bottle for touchups, i had stonechips & the usual r/view mirror rust repaired & got some leftovers

goodluck.

QT1 is a 3 layer pearl. Which basically means theres a white base coat then 3 layers of pearl, Which cannot be replicated in a single bottle. The best you can do is get a white which is the closest then use that. As long as the touch ups are small, you may not notice from a distance.

Problem with 3P is, its quite difficult for even the good painters to match/blend.

I'm so glad I got Silver....

Yeah I sooo wanted to get silver, but now that I have seen the pearl white/sfhc, i'd rate it as good 'in the metal'. But silver is still my favourite. Just rare as duck fangs with Dayz kit & prime edition...

I've rung a good auto paint place in Adelaide and they told me the same thing; can't do it in a can, no way no how. But if it was serious paint work it could be done professionally. I have actually found that Nissan Arctic White (for example, '84 Bluebird) appears to be a damn close match; I have a can and will try it out on the small stuff and see how it turns out.

Autobarn should have an equivalent. They supplied me with a BP9 Dark Blue Pearl, which is a 2 coat system from factory...it was a perfect match.

As with most of the spray pack colours they supply though, it must be sprayed to get the hue/colour match, you can't just daub it on as the metal flake and pigments will not allign correctly and give a mismatch.

    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
