Was looking through my garage just then, found these 3 turbos T88 and two turbos with "A/R 42 M24" writing on it (T28? GTR Turbos?)??

The question is how much can I sell those turbo for?!!? they are in good condition, no shaft play whatsoever, but it's just a bit dirty cuz it's been sitting there for like 2 years now...

Or do u guys think I should do a single turbo conversion in my upcoming R33 GTR? :whistling:

In my opinion TWINS FTW!!

Over a big single they offer better response. They do cost a tad more but factor in a new exh manifold, inlet modifications etc and there goes that saving from a big single.

Stick with twins; better response on that rolling acceleration out of a corner etc.

2 x GT2530's, dumps, cams, cam gears (spool), injectors, pfc, nice exhaust and you really can't go wrong. :whistling:

If your handy with a spanner pull the head off while its apart and drop a 1.5mm restrictor up front and replace the std h/g with a MLS type trust etc.

The restrictor prevents too much oil floating in the head during extended high rpm's (i.e mallala). If its apart you may as well; its not all that much more work to remove the cam belt a few head bolts and pull the head off. If not just ensure you keep the sump overfilled. :P

more info please :(

The car is in NSW, fully built and forged engine, should hit about 1100hp without nos, and minimal lag due to the supercharger...

There is a LOT of info, that isn't even the technical side of it :P

I have some of it on the block with the supercharger, but they are at home...

If you want more info, ask here, or better to probably shoot me a PM...

Oh yeah, and it's not finished yet, but i believe it is close to completion...

Hmm, thinking of selling my Greddy T88-34D turbo as I won't be putting that turbo in my car hehe, how much can I sell them for? it's new I think, I will take some photos and post it up tomorrow.... and with my other two turbos hmm, it says Garrett A/R 42 M24 1-2, and what's that "1-2" meant? anyone?

    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
    • Lock me in mate, although I'm not sure if I'll be heading up from Goulburn or down from Sydney, either way, return will be back to Goulburn
    • Sounds good, we will aim to be there! @The Bogan I'll give you a shout if you are heading up to campbelltown for the meet too.
    • Before I get to the test day, just to finish off the android head unit. This is a demo from car start up....the standard/host system takes a few seconds to boot (same as all v37) but Android comes up quickly. In this vid I'm using the delivered launcher but have set the default to Agami since which is easier to navigate when if use primarily 5 apps. You can see the host system still takes over when required eg putting it in reverse, and you can switch between Android and not by holding the back button 3 sec. It is pretty responsive (fast) but you can see I had to press harder than expected a couple of times.  I still have the phone connected to the stock system, and that also seamlessly takes over Android music playing. v37-android-demo.mp4 The bigger reason that I put this in though is so that I can use Ecutek directly on the head unit. That gives me a dash with logging (up to 20MB only), high and low value warnings on any parameter etc etc. I've run a USB cable from the Ecutek OBD dongle to a USB input on the unit, easy. v37-ecutek-demo.mp4   The unit did freeze on the launcher the other day, I think Agami was trying to verify the license when it didn't have a data connection...will monitor and report back if there are any other problems but so far I'm very happy with the upgrade.
    • Nah that is just crappy GPS mapping, I did have a small excursion (cold tyres, damp track, surprise!), will post up that when I get a chance.
