Just found this..

Stagea S2 Keyless Entry

Please let me know if there is anywhere else?

Mine key/remote was pretty shagged when i got my s2. The car needed a decent alarm so when it was connected, i got the guy to hook up the remote lock/unlock to the new controller. Much easier and cheaper if you need an alarm anyways.

Yeah its not a big deal but I just wanted the aftermarket alarm to work with the factory key, I know im being anal but I didn't want to have the factory remote key and also and alarm remote. If I could I want to just the factory system just with an alarm piggy backed off it, and I could just buy another key for it but I have no idea here to find them.

No I wanted to keep the factory remote as it is part of the key..

I don't think it will be possible to control a different alarm with the Nissan remote as alarms are usually pretty unique in their controls/coding. Never heard of this being done before... but glad to be corrected

I have contacted a couple of Alarm installers and they can use the factory remote key, which is the only reason I am looking for another place to buy one. If it wasnt possible I would just use the alarms own remote.

The systems I was quoted do not come with remotes themselves and will only work with the nissan key as the piggy back off the nissan system. It is a great way if you want to keep the stock keys. However if they are hard to come by or stupidly expensive then I will just get a stand alone system.

Cheers

I was under the impression that a late model Patrol key was the same as a Stagea key - so if you're after a spare key defintely go and see a Nissan dealer about one.

cheers!!

that what I wanted to know... If thats the case it will work out great!!

Hmmm looks like I didn't have the luck you guys did. When I took mine to the auto electrician they said they needed to install another actuator in the door in order for the central locking to work with the immobilizer. This was after I waited 6 hours for them to do it... >_>

I just got a quote for a Staega key which is $370 from a nissan dealer!!! that's just crazy!!!

Anyone else have an idea of another place to buy a stock stagea key with the lock / unlock button?

seriously bro we have all been down that rd and all fell over laughing at the price of a key.i went the other way after that and put a black widow alarm with 3 remote keys ie one for me one for the boss and a spare in mine it locks the doors and winds up the windows i forget what it cost around 700 i think installed 3 year warranty and a bloody neat install too.i then went to local shops a mr minit and got 3 patrol blanks cut and put the stock key in draw. the remote keys are not that much more bulky then the nissan key. well my 2 cents says forget the stock key bud .i did look at putting a blank key into the existing remote like if i had a spare one someone wasnt using but it isnt realy worth the heartburn of trying to get the old key out and modifying a new one to fit............. hope that helps mate................ regards mike.........................

Buy three blank GTR emblem keys off ebay for $50 each.

Buy an alarm immob that hooks up to ur factory central door locking and have it installed for $200.

You now have three new keys and a siren alarm immob.

Try here perhaps:

Theres a screw in it which I assume lets you open it and fit a blank?

    • I haven't been able to try a coppermix twin but I tried a 997.2 Turbo 6MT the other day with a single plate organic clutch that had all the springs removed so it's "for race use" and a stronger pressure plate. Absolutely miserable to drive. I couldn't feel the pressure plate weight because the pedal has hydraulic assist from the power steering pump but the slip point felt like I had to flex my big toe to control it because it was so sensitive. The clutch also shuddered horribly at the slip point. My best guess looking at the previous owner documentation is they tried to resurface the dual mass flywheel due to supply chain issues + used a stupid clutch with no marcel springs or any of the usual tricks that trade burst strength for driveability. I ordered the coppermix twin. Once it gets here I'll try to figure out whether to shop this job out to a local mechanic I can trust or try to DIY it.
