r32sky_line
Would be a bit more responsive. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/194957-kkr480-or-hks-2530/#findComment-3493724 Share on other sites
l0WRB
turbo has had around 15,000-20,000kms on it on 14psi Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/194957-kkr480-or-hks-2530/#findComment-3493726 Share on other sites
BLK33T
I would assume it would be slightly me responsive being ball bearing as opposed to journal (kkr items are journal bearing type are they not?) ... also aren't the kkr series only oil cooled whereas the HKS item is water and oil cooled?? if I could have my pick I would have anything HKS put on my car over anything else on the market Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/194957-kkr480-or-hks-2530/#findComment-3493736 Share on other sites
LordNafe
I would think you'd lose power going down to the smaller HKS item? 2530's are good RB20's, bit small for a 25 IMO Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/194957-kkr480-or-hks-2530/#findComment-3493746 Share on other sites
InterCooL
china turbo or japan turbo? easy choice to me 2530 ftw Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/194957-kkr480-or-hks-2530/#findComment-3493747 Share on other sites
LordNafe
Don't get me wrong, I love the japan stuff, but he already has the bigger KKR. A 2530 won't make the same power. It's considerably smaller. If we're talking a comparable Jap turbo you'd be looking at something the size of a 2840 or a GT30 I would think? RBwhatever
Wheel spin comes down to the condition/grip of the tyres at that power level. Crap tyres = easy wheelspin. I hear the 2530 is good for 220rwkw on the RB25. Maybe i'm wrong. r32sky_line
I'd go the 2530 if you only want 300hp at the wheels. Nothing beats response on a street car. l0WRB
well the motor has 250,000kms on it and ive been running 19psi thru it for last 6 months so 300rwhp is pretty much the limits i think and response would be nice my thing is laggy as hell haha its a joke! FATGTS-R
The 2530 should make same power as you have at present but not much if any more. If your currently not seeing much untill 4500 then the 2530 will be much better and be overall a faster car. Al
295RWHP@19psi, with fully boost at 4500rpm = VERY SHIT TURBO!! For a turbo to make full boost at 4500rpm i would expect it to be pretty damn big and make at least 330rwkw (450rwhp) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/194957-kkr480-or-hks-2530/#findComment-3494008 Share on other sites

silva33
I had a HKS 2535 which is a little better but I have been in an RB25 with a 2530 on it and there is almost no lag! It was an awsome street car the only downfall it had was that you couldnt push it to redline you were better of shifting at 6 - 6,500 rpm... I would do it.. it will make about 220 - 230 max but i have seen them run mid 12's in an R33.. PM Robo's on the forum, he had one. Its not all about rwkw.... from how laggy you have said your turbo is, the 2530 would destroy the kkr setup on the street even if it was making a bit more power.
