i think thats because the east bear kit uses the original GTT fenders.

i could be wrong, but i think east bear make their kits to fit GTTs with a straight bolt on, as in fits right onto the body with no mods, such as fender changing and ect. Where as doing the GTR conversion with other GTR parts needs the fenders, but the east bear dosnt coz its made for the GTT already...

I think thats correct, but i may be wrong here

Nope, Your right.. A GTR conversion uses Fenders, Laches, Hinges, Headlights, Front bar and bonnet.. Now if you go OEM your lookin at 5G+

So bonnet OEM 1500-2000

Headlights - $1000 often used

Hinges and latches - $150-$200

Front bar - New $ALOT used they are getting cheap seen them go for $500

Fenders - BIG $$$ for OEM, Aftermarket is about $800-$1000 I would assume

So whats that .. $4700... It aint cheap is it!

Id hunt aftermarket bonnet as it would be cheaper.. but yeah

SLR sunline racing.. have a look, they make whole wide body for GTT

there's do luck.. order them off SIngapore, closest they are asking about $2.5k I think just for fenders..

watch using JSAI pm me if you interested

Sunline Racing kit is nice... they use a C-west N1 type 2 front bar and the Z-tune style vented bonnet, and custom wide body front/rear fenders. but it's all made from dry carbon fibre - the real stuff. Super light. http://sunline-racing.com

The M-Speed wide body kit is hot too, it's available to buy from them as well, but expect to pay big $$$. Their time attack R34 GTR is on the cover of Hi Performance Imports. If I had a full track spec GTR R34 I'd be putting the M-speed kit on. http://mspeed.jp/

JSAI have GTR front fenders.. YAY!

A bit pricey though, $680 for ONE front fender...

If these are the ones I need:

Yikes!! This is gonna be expensive...

Ok dudes and dudettes... I'm now pretty sure I'm going to go this way, full GTR conversion with no 'kits' so to speak... Now I'm just asking if these fenders here ( http://www.jsai.com.au/shop/product_info.p...0a6a2b27b9c64de ) are the ones I definitely need, I really don't want to balls this up.. :P

I'm just going into the process of acquiring parts for the eventual conversion, so any tips, suggestions, hints or whatever will all be very welcome!

Thanks all!

Mark.

    • Why are you so adamant on going M12? Why not follow Brad (GTSBoy) suggestion. You're talking moving from a 1/8" size, to a 1/2" effectively. 4 times bigger. Why skip the commonly available sizes in between? The bigger you go, the more likely you are to strip the threads out at a later date, as guaranteed, someone will put a huge spanner on the M12 and really tighten it up, and you're only in thin wall, so not a lot of threads to engage!
    • Hi. Yeah thanks. Car is already at tuners and it staying there to resolve "many" issues they do not like. So it is in a good hands. Getting a good tune on that Nistune ECU too so the car would be good. Just needs a little tune up and love.
    • Probably gonna remove manifold and turbo. I’m not sure if I can get M12 x 1.5 air tight. Could use high temp Loctite 246 or something similar, but I don’t know. Maybe it’s just best to remove everything again and weld an 1/8NPT on there instead.
    • Yeah, saw the ratios, not impressed. Would like the punch I have in the first gears now. With those ratios it won't be the same.  Also want the h pattern gearing, or at least a quiet gear set that don't need to come apart for service each year. Looks like the only "reasonable" way Is a 8hp70 transmission, but where is the fun in that🤷‍♂️
