got a yellow and going over the pits probably tuesday.

the motor has been rebuilt and u can obviously hear that its got big cams in it.

if the examiner asks whats in the motor, should i just tell them that i dont know, or that it just has cams?

it also has a high mount turbo.

hope i dont get into too much trouble.

No point asking interstate people about passing the pits.

The regulations we have here in WA are pretty tame compared to those in the eastern states.

Claim the motor is a standard GTR motor, with standard GTR cams and management.

The guys at the pits don't care too much about internal shit, and if the wastegate is plumbed back the high-mount will pass easily as well.

They're more concerned about height, suspension, oil leaks, noise, tint.

Make sure all of these are legal before you go anywhere near the pits.

yeah got the exhaust done on wednesday, it now has gate plumbed back, 2 mufflers, a cat and realllly quiet! even the bee*r limiter doesnt make any noise!

but lost quite a bit of performance. and it now sounds like a porshe lol.

ill tell them its all stock then.

but would the turbo / manifold need a engineer to look at it?

can you turn the idle up a bit maybe 1200? might seem a bit smoother just tell them youve been meaning to turn it back down but never got around to it. take it there warm and there is no way they will pick up any internal motor differences like forgies not that they would be illegal anyway
