Myself and a few others were at WSID watchin the Top Fuel Event and I was not so lucky :/ car has dints and chips everywhere.

:(

omg sorry to hear guys, i was in the city for my job induction whole day, parked on the side street, only a few drop of rain..

:(

The Dent Man in Castle Hill does great work. But I know his phone is already flooded.

i live near him so i might goto him

im only gonna do my roof and chassis ....all the rest will be aftermarket parts...like cf bonnet, cf boot, vented fenders,cf doors (if i can source the parts...which i highly doubt it)

My car was parked in Cherrybrook at the shopping centre..

Pretty much every panel on the car is damaged, the bonnet and roof copped it the worst, and the windscreen has massive cracks all over it so you cant even see out properly.

Im in rooty hill where those tennis size hail stones came down cracking windows and denting cars, but I didnt see a hail stone over the size of a ping pong ball?

Thank goodness for that as we had two skylines parked outside plus the commondore.

anyone want to organize a paintless dent removal groupbuy thingy please???

I might try and do that through someone I know via my cousin. I'll bet he'll be flat chat for quite a while though.

I took some photos too, when I've uploaded them I'll link them to this thread. I'm only around 5-10 minutes from James' (lingeringsoul) parents' house, right on the border of Toongabbie and Seven Hills.

Man, guitar hero makes you oblivious to the world around you...

:/

anyone know how much it would cost to get a bonnet resprayed black? it's for a s1 r33 gtst

I've been trying to source a black one off the forums but they're hard to come by in that colour.

if it's not that expensive I might just purchase a different colured one, respray it and sell my cf vented bonnet

Edited by into oblivion

i work at trivett honda blacktown and every single car is f*cked here. Some of the dents are huge. And down the road a heartland holden even their showroom got f*cked.

I'm so lucky though i have to quote each car here.....nooooooot

That's crazy, I live in Pymble, and know that WRX through friends of friends that work at the same Dominoes... In fact, I saw it parked there today...

I seriously didn't notice shit... did it even rain in pymble?

Man, guitar hero makes you oblivious to the world around you...

HAHAHA ye I hear that :/!

But ye I was freakin lucky that i saw him run out of Dominos to move the car. The hail i saw there was proly around ping pong ball size...big enough to do some decent damage.

Would not hav had a clue where else to go

i saw that on the news

talk about flash storm, no warnings nothing!

A new paintjob woula been nice :P

I heard a massive clap of thunder, and that prompted me to check the BOM website. I saw the severe thunderstorm warning, and BOLTED out of my house to bring the cars in. I got all of them under covers except my brothers car when i started getting belted with massive hail stones. I was so lucky I decided to check.. Had a Lexus, Landcruiser, Patrol, Skyline, and an Outback out in the open!

My bro's car is stuffed though - every panel, half a huge tree fell into our pool, i got a cut on my head and bruises all over my back from trying to cover my brothers car...

all my windows are broken from it :D

ouch :)

...and bruises all over my back from trying to cover my brothers car...

ouch :P

Me too re: bruises.

Also got a semi-fat lip atm from being punched in the face by a big bit of hail. It's gone down a bit thankfully.

lol, how stupid are we. "PROTECT THE CARS!! PROTECT THE FREAKING CARS!!! what? If I got hit in the wrong spot I could get killed? Shutup man, I've gotta PROTECT THE FREAKING CARS!#!!!!"

    • You Gregged a whole racetrack!?
    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
