Just double check that the rolling diameter of the tyres are the same front and rear. Sometimes different width tyres run slightly different heights, which can cause dramas with the attesa, according to a few on here.

But going by how the rear tyres is stretched on there id say they are the same width TYRE front and rear, even though different rim widths...?

Looks good tho! But yes lower the car!

yeah its the dayz kit. i pm'd sk about some suspension but havent heard back yet. i have a RWD so i havent got an attessa system to worry about but yes the tyre widths are the same front and back

i reckon a gtr bake upgrade might be on the cards to fill the rims up a bit also and to stop terrible braking perfomance of my car. went on a bit of hills drive last night with a loaded car (5 people) but with the stocky wheels and wasnt terribly impressed. i definatly wasnt being given any ammount of reasurence from the suspension or the brakes. im a bit of a pussy driver now after my accident and any hint of body roll freakes me out.

wats the offset for fronts and rears?

im getting an 18sx9 for the front and x10 fortherears. Front offset is +25 and rears +40

I think you are going to have rear inside clearance issues with an offset that high.

My 18x20 rears have about a finger of clearance (13-17mm). I don't know if an extra 20mm on the inside will fit. You definately wont be able to run square rubber (where the tyre sticks out more than the wheel)

spacers as a last resort 10mm should do it. Then i will look VERY Ricey!! :D

Hrm so its okay to run staggered widths front and back as long as rolling diameter is kept the same?

I've been looking for a set of equal width 18" rims for ages on various car forums and its so bloody rare to see any.

What size rims and tyres (inc offset) are you guys running? I need a rough idea on what will look decent.

where in victoria can you go 140km/h+ ?

140km/h is not rarely seen. Yeah.. racetracks.

dmonic1 what offset are those rims?

I am currently looking at a set of 18 x 8.5 and 18 x 9.5 +35 offset, just wondering if they would fit without having to lip/roll the guards.

At your sizes and offsets, comparing to my rims (which are slightly weaker than Yoko) you are going to have 28mm less inner and 40mm more outer clearance on the front and 9mm less inner and 21mm more outer clearance. Stagea's have MASSIVE front guards man, you really need lower offsets on the fronts than the rears. Be careful of hitting the shock too (the curse of high offset wheels)

You can compare to other sizes using this calculator. http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

I havn't touched my front guards and my rears would be alright slightly higher, at this height they need a lip only (bend the inside lip up, not pump/roll/flare the guard)

Yokotas old car (18x9 -5 w/ 235/40 fronts, 18x10 +20 w/ 235/40 rears)

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
