ok can ppl reply with what date would be better for them... we are basically going to be cruising down the GOR to apollo bay for a bbq... so i guess this is a little run down on how it could go :

- meet at 10am somwhere central to every1 in melb

- leave melb at 11am for the GOR

- arrive in apollo bay around 1ish ??? not sure how long it takes

- bbq at apollo bay.. spend a few hours or whateva there

- head back to melb around 3-4ish

- back in melb around 5-6ish

hows that sound? we just need to know if the 9th or 10th of Aug is better... please put down your preference.

only caue we should stop once just after geelong to group up.

Like the idea of having another day to rest after a long cruise.

People are coming from all suburbs

My suggestion is that we meet at the shell/subway, on the exit ramp of Point Cook Rd (MEL:53, B3. The exit after Newland Str.). Plenty of parking there. This way we get the east and west people cruising down the Princess Hwy together. We could then stop at Mc Donalds as we enter Geelong, to pick up any people there.

i think al's choice of meeting place is a good one... i think we have to determine a date now as we all know we can't satisfy every1...... i guess the 9th would be better as u then have a day after to recover or wateva... and we wouldn't be meeting till about 10:30 -11am so u gota abit of time to get ova that sat morning hang ova lol

my advice would be to arrive in geelong at the latest 10:30am or otherwise you may find yourself driving back to melb in the dark.

mmm yes good point... that damn traffic on the way back can be a killer... well how about we meet at Al's destination at approx 8:30am leave there by 9:30am once every1 is there.. we'll be in geelong by 10:30am that way ??

What about getting a new tread soon and a poll to see who is coming. That way we can see the respond and also have a define date, time, destination and meeting point.
