Hey Guys,

I'm heading down to Sydney in Jan.

looking for a good workshop that has installed & tuned an emanage ultimate on a 34 GTT (manual).

I've heard Croydon are good with them (have done a search), but I wanted to hear from an OWNER that has had the work done...

Any 34 owners with EMU out there???

PM me if there are any places to stay clear of, otherwise, any info would be great.

thanks for your comments!

Please feel free to PM me any good/bad experiences with crd.

everyone seems to stay they have done heaps of emanage ultimate install/tunes,

but I'm yet to meet anyone that has one installed in their 34.

keen to hear more...

cheers

Since when have CRD had a bad rep? Not in my lifetime that fore sure!

two of my cars have had work at CRD over the years & theyve helped me out alot & given me advice along the way.

One of my ex customers had his E-manage tuned by Adam at JEM just engine managements at Moorebank in his r34 gtt & was very happy with their job. A friend of mine has had all of his work on his 300kw honda civic performed by Adam..

Also check out Advan Performance, now in Auburn i think.

Hey man i use APC at Underwood www.apc-racing.com to do all my work done and Nick from there knows a bit about them becuse he sugested it to me and gave me a good run down on it.. I plan to get it fitted through them in the New Year... AHHH It already is :P O well in the next few months. lol

There are som high powered cars running on the ultimate in japan i have heared... Only problem is they look too good to hide with the ecu...

Good luck and let us know how it goes hey....

Well from what ive heard certain companies which may have been mentioned in this post minus tune house, apc or jem ask for alot of $$$ with little return compared to people who ask a little less and put alot more in.

I.e friends with cars = base tune uploaded with no additional tuning unless they remained in house to watch the tune. Interesting.

Think bout this, people with less cars often spend more time on a car then people with a lot of cars and pissed off customers who would spend less time if they manage to get away with it.

if a tune takes 20 mins they havnt done jack..

I dont know the person who discussed it with me raised some good points, even detailed his own work shop which he worked for as being into this, its very reputable. not linked to above.

true to wat DECIM8 said. keep an eye out for some shops which may overcharge. i know adam from JEM is top bloke talked to him a few times and he did my mates onevia. anyone got the ultimate in their 33 gtst? wanna see how this cheaper alternative might work out...

ive got an emanage running in my r33 with the a/f meter, pressure sensor and launch control all hooked up.

it should be sweet once its all tuned. if you let me know beforehand ill take my laptop to a meet and show you how it all works.

    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
    • Hi All, putting the engine back together and everything is perfect except have this plug left over.. any ideas what it is for and where it goes? Is on cold side under the intake plenum *note not a stock plug, as everything has been modified Cheers
