hey guys,

i recently got my car back from a mate who was keeping it for me, and while in his care was bored and wanted to try some different wheels on so i get the call and says hes farrked up the threads on atleast 3 studs on one of the wheels, and possibly the studs on the other wheels is farkedd too, hes a goose and doesnt know much...grr.....

so what would be the best option from here? how do i go about getting it all fixed up?

thanks guys

if thats true your mate is an idiot. was he using a rattle gun? surely after you stuff the first stud you are a bit more careful.

Anyway its easy to fix, get your mate to take it to a mechanic and pay for them to replace the damaged studs they are a couple of dollars and a few minutes labour each. As long as you can get the wheel nuts off that is...otherwise it could be a world of trouble.

thanks for the fast help!

yeah i jus called up my mate so hes gona get it towed to a mech on monday since aparently 3 of the threads are so farrked the nuts just keep spinning around?! lucky im not paying for the tow! grrr...

Are you sure he didn't try to do the other wheels with different nuts? Nissan use 12x1.25 mm nuts/studs, just like subaru do, most other jap cars use 12x1.5 mm.

This is just in case you replace the studs and stuff them up again!!
