Past most of the skyline crew last night. Wasn't in the 33 though, was in my old car (Subaru Liberty RS) with my mate driving.

Anyone know who own's the maroon 33 gts-t that was doing burnouts all night.. Sounded wicked powerful, just don't understand why the need for burnouts.....

Edited by sfrizza

Were you in that white Liberty?

Yeah we saw the 33 pulling burnouts.

I had a great time, the highlights were the Countach and the F360 giving it some up the street, I think it made Frink wee a little bit.

For those of you that weren't there early enough, a couple of idiots drove past out their car window yelling "Hey nice car bro, do they make them for men?" - they were driving one of these:

Yep, White Liberty sedan with "RS" number plates. One of the very more tastefully modded ones.

I couldn't believe the amount of wrx's, silver one with gold rims and whitewalls...ewwww, to low as well.

Saw a blue "low intentions" club member ride get defected for sitting at the petrol station dumped on its rear. Cop also pinged him for the side mirrors (which were pretty much razor blades)..

Good to catch up with some peoples who i have not seen in a while. Is it just me or was the quality/amount of cars down a fair bit on normal ???

maybe the people with the nicer cars tend to keep away from the whole braddon thing... with cops & defects, and such a big crowd these days, it might not appeal??

I saw some amazing cars today in the Top 60 pavillion... I guess you dont really see those ones cruising braddon though!

i got a few pics from inside the pavilion, think i saw you aswell Shell. Were you in a group with 3 guys?

was really difficult to get pics in there, so crowded and so many people walking through pics you had to take what you could get...

So badly deafened and sunburnt from the day, first time i've made it there. Tried for the past 5 years but never seem to get there...

yep!

why you not say hello farken? :(

haha wasnt sure it was even you, was going off the pictures from the braid wood cruise thread.

"Hey are you Shell from a skyline internet forum?"

"No :) "

"...Fair enough"

no thankyou

true shell i would not expect those cars out but just overall i thought there may be a few more nicer ones out there based on previous years :) anyways drove by last night on the way home from a mates house and only noticed a white s1 r33 so i just kept going

There hasnt been nice (and actual summernats entrant) cars out in Braddon since 2005.

A few nice cars got trashed that year in Braddon (one that stands out is a beautiful Walkinshaw getting pelted with bottles) and the police came down extremely hard on entrant cars cruising around that year too. So they dont really go out anymore as its not worth it.

The crowd control is better inside the summernats these days so if you want to see the good cars, go hangout on Tuff Street inside on Friday night.

The only time I went anywhere near braddon during the week at night I saw a bright pink magna slammed on huge chromies with rubber bands for tyres, pissed myself laughing and kept on driving in the opposite direction.

    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
