These are both nitric oxide pre-workout supplements and very different. They are pre workout formula's and usually stimulant based. They are designed more for energy and vascularization rather than true "mass" gains. The are usually bases on Amino's like Beta-Alenaine. 1MR as an example has got 300mg of caffeine coupled with Beta-A - that will seriously pump you up! I had trouble sleeping some nights after serious sessions.

I use them also, I've used Dymatize Energized Xpand, Jack3D, 1MR and I'm currently using Mesomorph. I like to try different sups and see how they go :)

Yeah i realise they are different, jus sayin :) How was Jack3D? i've heard good things about that. and yeah ur point about the needle is so true

Anyone use or have any experience with mass building supplements legal or illegal in Australia? The off the shelf kind from the US etc, not the other kind.

There is a link at www.bodybuilding.com where it showed what products can be sent over to Australia. I was just looking at it yesterday but now I can't find the link.

Have only consumed protein shake, 2 cans of tuna and 2 slices of wholemeal toast today.

Craving sugar SO BAD.

Try eating some Walnuts or Cashews, they take the edge off. There are also some great low carb bars at Woolworths etc, the Atkins ones are great when you need a hit.

See I listen to these cravings...I figure my body has a good idea of what it needs and will tell me through my taste for something. I rarely ever deny it the privelege. Thirsty? Need a drink. Hungry? Load with carbs. Sweet tooth? Get some sugar into ya. etc. etc.

Not all of us are sticks though ey? ;)

So I checked bodybuilding.com and -

I thought cashews had a negative side to them if attempting to drop fat? Otherwise cheers I'll check it out lol.

Damn you. I used to be like that, though after my stroke (yes, stroke) my apparent metabolism ate shit. Might be due to the lack of physical exercise I was able to do for a while afterwards.

Looks like you know what you need but can't get them imported, I hate when that happens, anyway, the U.S has a strong ban on Skylines so...:whistling:

How about tribulus + DHEA? They gave me a really nice boost when I was taking them them at my uni a few years back, would definitely recommend that you (or anyone) try if you already haven't done yet. I used less than the recommended dosages, but even then it had a strong impact in my workouts.

people forget that steroids don't make you big on their own... they just shorten your recovery time and let you work out more etc... so you still have to be putting the work in, more so in fact... on the other hand testosterone/HGH etc will help you add bulk

And the food/sleep - thats the more important part of it all.

Plenty of people i know over the years have used for various reasons. Not going into it more than that though.

One currently does and competes in competitions etc - i can see the purpose for his choice.

The amount of food the guy eats in one day is more than i would eat in 2 and i eat a ridiculous amount as it is. The diet is so ridiculously strict I would go crazy not being able to eat the things i do currently.

But then he is 110-120kg and has next to bodyfat so it's a ridiculous machine that needs correct fuelling :miner:

Guys don't like to admit to using gear, because it is still by and large frowned upon in society (IMO unjustifiably).

A user is automatically assumed to be lazy and taking the easy option. As many of you have correctly stated, steroids accelerate a slow process.

They aren't magic and you aren't about to turn into Arnie.

You can put a turbo on your car, it still isn't about to go anywhere without the correct fuel (good diet/proper training/sleep).

That said, I have heard of some disaster stories, but that is really due to stupid use, dosages, combinations of compounds, prolonged cycle period, no PCT and so on.

I would avoid them unless you are a professional and keen on entering the competition scene....(or if you are an 'events' junky tops of brah...zinggg).

I'm thinking general consensus is that steroids and similar supplements are acceptable to use if you do it right and don't use it from the beginning. I believe everyone needs to put in some decent effort over a period of time before they should be "allowed" to jump into things like that, otherwise you really are cheating - both yourself and the game.

That's true. The use needs to be within a framework.

As a general rule, use isn't recommended until:

You have a solid base (85kg frame minimum with low bodyfat, a lot more if you are tall)

You have strong lifts (I'd say 100kg bench, 160kg squat and 200kg deadlift)

You are 25 years old.

You have at least 5 years of dieting and training under your belt.

You have an in-depth knowledge of steroids compounds, steroid cycles and PCT.

    • Actually, that's not entirely true. It's also the same motor in the 1st gen Nissan Cube but they're rare as hen's teeth.
    • Yeah it is always worth testing and balancing actuators out of the box, just set the pressure regulator on a compressor very low (eg 5 psi) and increase it slowly to see when they both move.....unfortunately while you may be able to adjust the length of the actuator rod to minimise any difference, the actual pressure they move from is not adjustable so you need a well matched pair. And yes, the VCAM is probably contributing; the earlier in the rev range they come on boost and the slower the revs build (I think your demo was in 5th), the more you notice it.  Driving at WOT through 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc you will probably never hear it as any shuffling starts and is over super quickly
    • oh they were with that motor, you need to remove the engine to change the spark plugs (don't have to, but it does make it easier)
    • I certainly fall into the annoyed camp, but glad to hear that if it's happening at low boost then I'm not likely going to blow a turbo and end up with metal shards in my oil. Just feels like it prevents me from really driving it without hesitation and "peak" performance. Wonder if it's the VCAM, it did an impressive job of shifting the torque curve and faster spool, but maybe now it's "too fast" and there's too much air for how open the throttle is.  Based on some other threads, will also do some reading on synchronizing the actuators. They are the default actuators that come on the Garrett's and I would think they would be set the same coming from the factory, but if the turbos don't actually work exactly the same way at the same time as previously mentioned, it would be worth making sure the actuators are actuating together properly
    • I went down this rabbit hole before, ended up sourcing a motor from the UK (I'm in Japan) which also didn't function correctly. With the original motor, I disassembled it and reassembled it and it works somewhat, sometimes. What I could deduce from all my screwing around is that there is calibration of the gears on the inside of the motor and two ramps on the main gear which activate switches that operate the motor and move the sunroof either to retract into the roof or tilt. Where I got stuck was that, it seemed in my case that one or both of the switches that are activated by the ramp on the gear did not always activate and thus the motor did not move, causing it to sometimes not retract or tilt (apologies, I've forgotten which way it didn't work.).  Of course this part is discontinued at Nissan now, it's the same part in the S15 but no other models. I also contacted the manufacturer of the component for schematics - forgot the name, they're based in Gifu - but they declined to share the information due to being bound by an NDA, sadly. Looking through my pictures now, it seems I last had a crack at this in 2022. See, I so kindly wrote "open" and "close" next to the switches. If you figure it out, please do tell me. Those little switches, with the red buttons may need to be replaced.
