Did my full sets fiddling with heigts then thought I'd do a few more reps at the end and record.

This is probs where I felt most comfy, I was initially standing straighter.

Thoughts?

hahaha nice work Boz :P

I did bench press this arvo for the first time since the beginning of March...my previous working set was 85kg for 5 reps at that time, and had a 1RM of 95kg. This arvo I only did 1 set (for a laugh to see if I could even do 1 rep) - 100kg, managed 5 reps.

f**k yeah DB press lol

Yeah Pendlay are too low and hard on my back at the moment.

As it was, in that vid it was harder than normal for me as I'd normally be straighter maybe 50-55, so if that lean is a good lean in the vid then I'll have to maybe lower the weight and re-set form in that exercise, which is fine.

I'd be inclined to say that even after only 3 sessions of trying to DL from the floor, my SIJ discomfort has lessened, could be a coincidence but we'll see.

Nice work Troz!

Yay Troy!

:) cheers guys! Haha. I know it isn't much, especially compared to those currently smashing out PPP, but it certainly blew me away lol

It's good Troy! Hey, mine isn't much!!!!! but I was really happy with my increase on Friday :) Edited by L33SH

saw my first squat rack curler today, though our gym had 2 EZ Curl bars and weighted barbells specifically for that purpose which were not being used lol. Also saw smith machine deadlifts that looked hella uncomfortable.

Gymbros continue their compound dodging antics, so ended up deadlifting by myself today - I take it that it's normal to scrape the shit out of your knees and shins when doing it properly?

There's a correlation between leg scrapage and doing it properly.

That being said, some of the big lifters around the world don't scrape their shins, so everyone does it differently. Most do find it easier the closer it is to the body.

Easily. The body will slip into ketosis and convert fat into ketones which the brain and heart find easier to use. This is why there are positiv aspects. You can do the same by restricting your carbs to less than 20g per day. There is ZERO need for carbohydrates in the human diet as the body can produce what it needs by way of glucose from gluconeogenesis in the liver. This amounts to roughly 100g per day for the brain, then slowly reduces as the body become more keto adapted. In fact, not eating carbohydrates and increasing your fat intake is an excellent way to lower cholesterol. Ive been carb free for 1.5 years and my triglycerides are down to 71 from 252. I have the lipid profile of a 6 month old at 33.

I bet this guy is fat or skinny. Just a feeling.

If he doesn't lift, then he's definitely going to be skinny. Why do you deny human nutrition facts so often? lol

Not saying it's better, since keto is hard to deal with and f**king sucks for digestion sometimes, but he's more or less correct. Our bodies don't NEED carbs to function, it just makes things a lot easier if we do have them....and there are health benefits to restricting carbs big time like that, though from a weightlifting perspective it makes things VERY difficult I find.

Should point out that I'm not disagreeing with his information/science; he just sounds like one of those people who has gone and spent hours, even days studying up on the science behind a particular diet (Lipids of a 6 month old? Really? That's the figure we're looking at now, instead of kg?) instead of devoting that time towards lifting some weight and not eating so much shit.

People just always looking for the alternative, easier way out of doing hard work...this mentality doesn't go hand in hand with success. It makes you good at failing.

Probably blow that guys mind that on Saturday I ate pig on a spit, about 3 bags of chips, crackers and cheese, many chocolates, ice cream, wheat based cereal and a metric shit ton of bread. And I won't see an ounce of it hit my bf%. His lipids can suck my dick.

    • Yeah, it's getting like that, my daughter is coming over on Thursday to help me remove the bonnet so I can install the Carbuilders underbonnet stuff,  I might get her to give me a hand and remove the hardtop, maybe, because on really hot days the detachable hardtop helps the aircon keep the interior cool, the heat just punches straight through to rag top I also don't have enough hair for the "wind in the hair" experience, so there is that....LOL
    • Could be falling edge/rising edge is set wrong. Are you getting sync errors?
    • On BMWs what I do because I'm more confident that I can't instantly crush the pinch welds and do thousands of USD in chassis damage is use a set of rubber jacking pads designed to protect the chassis/plastic adapter and raise a corner of the car, place the aforementioned 2x12 inch wooden planks under a tire, drop the car, then this normally gives me enough clearance to get to the front central jack point. If you don't need it to be a ramp it only needs to be 1-1.5 feet long. On my R33 I do not trust the pinch welds to tolerate any of this so I drive up on the ramps. Before then when I had to get a new floor jack that no longer cleared the front lip I removed it to get enough clearance to put the jack under it. Once you're on the ramps once you simply never let the car down to the ground. It lives on the ramps or on jack stands.
    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
