too hard to get enough protein from food (and having to watch calories) as well.

wut

Chicken, tuna, kangaroo, egg whites (cooked). There, those are the leanest protein sources I can think of off the top of my head. Their entire calorie content should pretty much be from protein, as there's really next to no fat.

I could easily blow out 300g of protein in a day without touching a shake/supp.

Dunno, but I had it straight from a pig's leg the other day so I'd like to see em tell me it was processed!

Not that I give too many f**ks for processed or unprocessed foods.

I think the ham you buy from the deli in Woollies etc is probably semi processed, not that I can see it as a bad thing as long as nothing is added to it.

Only concerns I have with processed meat are unnecessary additives (salt, sugar, etc), and not really knowing what part of the animal (or God forbid, what animal at all) you're eating. lol.

Meh, as long as the protein content on he back is high and the fats are low, I don't care too much. Processed food does tend to have a higher fat or sodium content though.

That being said most of the stuff I eat is fairly organic, just cause it's what I like the taste of.

You mean you like the placebo effect of organic ;)

Trozzle: I eat all of the above usually once a day apart from the eggs. Can of tuna for morning smoko, chicken breast for lunch, usually kangaroo or lean beef/steak for dinner, still not the 1g/lb that I'm trying to reach though, and I don't want to / can't eat more meat than I already do.

The 24-5 g from a shake a day helps things without heaps of calories, and I quite like them for a drink after a workout!

That prolly came out wrong, I don't like the taste because it's organic; I like the taste and it just happens to be organic.

I love my processed foods and fast food. Just don't eat as much of it (once a week etc.) cause I tend to avoid high fats.

Here are really nice and most informative post. I am totally agree with you all. But according to me other cardio exercise are better then join a gym. And Supplements, I think that it's not essential to build up your body and if you used it then after sometime you can see side effects of it. So try to avoid such things.

Am totally agree with you friend. Supplements is filth of manufacture processes, and after used for period of time side effects is happening. I avoid such things as to function brain better.

Come to my class for a grammar lesson please, kthanxbai

a very rough calculation of my daily protein intake is

15g from tuna

81g from chicken breast

30-80 depending on what I eat for dinner

24g from whey powder

plus a small amount from my morning oats with a splash of milk. Assuming I'm eating a decent amount of meat for dinner, that brings me to around 200g, which is my 1g /lb of lean body mass.

I was eating cottage cheese / greek yogurt for dessert for a while, but I've been trying to keep my calories down.

On an unrelated note, managed to get bench, OHP, deadlift and squats in today, was quite pleased!

haha not confident enough to do that Birds. I'm glad I started before I started getting serious man tits or fatty legs though.

Getting a bit sick of people trying to tell me I should be going to MMA / Kickboxing / cardio classes instead of lifting because "lifting won't make you fit or lose fat" (apparently the 15kg I've already shed is just water weight). Funny how they're the ones whose body composition doesn't appear to change, apart from the ability to run for kilometers on end.

It does motivate me to keep going hard to prove them wrong though, but I've recently started running/jogging as well to try and kick things along a bit.

Heard a couple of chicks at the gym the other day talking about how often they want to come to the gym; saying they don't want to come more than 3 times a week because they didn't want to end up like those bodybuilding women...

    • Oh you'll be surprised how much the motor breathes when it sees nearly 2 bar of boost. That will definitely pop, but for now, more than happy with 99.99% of the crank case fumes and engine shit going back into the intake.
    • You'll likely find, you never really get pressure to pop that valve.  If you are getting "pressure" it's going out the unrestricted hole before it hangs around to build up and pop the rubber flap. IE, it's headed for the intake pipe. In reality, if we did it right, your "vent" would actually go to a PCB valve at the inlet, and you'd still have the two the intake pipe too. When in vacuum, motor sucks it in, when on boost, PCB shut, and you will be getting enough air flow past (if they've put the catchcan pipe on the inlet in a good spot, at the right angle) which will create suction. Current setup in reality, you're just forcing it to the intake pipe.
    • Slightly off topic - I've just wired oil pressure sensor into my LinkECU as well - I tapped into the existing dash cluster oil pressure light wiring, and fed that back into an Auxiliary output in the ECU. That now lets me control the original dash oil pressure light based on a range of conditions triggered by the LinkECU - means the factory light isn't entirely redundant now that the factory oil pressure switch is no longer installed.
    • Hasn't risen high enough on the to do this yet for it to be done lol.  One day it will be done... one day... I know, but I tell myself its ok because I took a heap of temp measurements of the terminals over a 12 or so hour drive, temps were never an issue. Plus I made sure to pat the bulk head and say "she'll be right". So, yep she'll be right lol.
