Lashed out and bought myself a dipping belt.

My tracksuit pants and jacket topped out at 20kg of pocket space lol

Good job Troy!

TTT: No comment on how you last went or numbers?

sq 192.5

b 100

dl 210

at 86kg at GPC states around Easter.

best bench in a 3 lift comp was 110 @ 92kg and 115 @93kg in a bench only comp.

Best deadlift in a 3 lift comp was 220 @ 92kg and 222.5 @ 94kg in a deadlift only comp.

Next 3 lift comp is in 3.5 weeks. Don't think I'll do much better. Will not be using wraps for squats... Should still be around 85-87kg

Nice squat and DL.

Do you have bad shoulders or something or just not into bench?

I dunno what my 1RM is but I can rep 110 now so you'd have to think 1 rep would be a bit better.

How long did it take you to get to those squat and DL numbers and how tall are you?

one of my asian mates from high school used to always be pretty skinny, now i'm guessing he's like 80-83kg competing for australia and just did 235/187.5/117.5 and posted some vids up on facebook crazy strong shocked me that it was him - only 23 too and hasn't trained long :\

I'm keen to get into more / increase deadlifts now

Right scap has ongoing problems. Both shoulders sound like ratchets moving in any direction. Tennis and golfers elbow in both elbows... So yeah. A few problems with bench.

The first time I tried a squat 1rm I got 150 but failed 155. Before this I had done about 5 years of wannabe bodybuilder type training. Still did squats but it was once a week and it was 3 sets of 10 and was superset with leg press or ham curls.

Best dead lift during those days was 180 with straps and it wasn't a proper deadlier. It was a start from Waist height then down, bounce and up... Using straps.

I'm 178cm I think.

Stop doing bench for 6 months. Do the rehab and you will be much stronger going back in.

Where did he compete for Australia? Those numbers dont seem very impressive at all in regards to competing FOR Australia.

I have an 82kg lifter who competed at Nationals 2 weeks ago, still a Junior at 20yo, so same weight and age group as your mate, and Asian

Martin squatted 245kg, benched 160kg and deadlifted 282.5kg, total was 687.5kg, a GPC Junior WR

Thats 147.5kg more than your mate. Your mates total would have got him 9th place at Nationals in the 82.5kg class

Colin Chan?

74kg class, totalled 540kg, nice, finished 7th at Worlds in Russia for PA

yeah he's my mate, and yeah Russia - I didn't know his weight was just guessing off the top of my head from the far away video footage very proud of the dude!

I have. It helps to a certain extent. Never 100%. Soon as I get close to where I was...its failboat again

So you have taken 6 months of zero benching? Plus the rehab including cuban press, broomstick shoulder dislocation stretches and the rest?

I got the impression you keep doing bench regardless because ' a comp is comming up...' ha ha....

No bench means you have more time to focus on squat. Why u no squat 200?

Cuban press f**ked my other shoulder.

stuck to doing band rotator stuff along with overhead press which doesn't hurt and actually feels like it has helped some.

Anyway, I don't really care about it much anymore.

No 200 squat because girlyman.

    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me
