Anyone know much about semi commercial grade gym equipment?

Kate is looking at something like this.

She loves Ellipticals, but will need something decent as I can see her destroying a cheap machine pretty easily.

Look like a tool doing them in the gym. Standing tricep extensions are find

no more of a tool than some of the shit people do with the cable machines!

I began to read Starting Strength today, so far it parallels a lot of what Markos bangs on about. Good reading so far, and now I know why my squat is sucking a fat one - bar placement!

How good is Starting Strength! I love it

it's good. I used to do them. The only thing I really ever bothered with.

I did not do standing tricep bro-stensions or tricep pushdowns.

Move heavy and win. Triceps don't grow playing with light weights.

hang on a min, just kind of watched the video to the end rather then just the start. I saw the cable machine and figured he was doing lying cable extensions which like lying cable curls is massive tool vile.

lying tricep extension with the ez bar on a bench is all good just make sure you feel it in your tricep, I didn't like the massive rock he had in the technique, but that's just me.

So no comments re the eliptical? Not surprised really but worth a shot.

Squat question for the biomechanical among us.

I was going through some motions last night and found that regardless of foot angle or width of stance when I get below parralell and look in a mirror, the knee on my bad side is higher than the other. I'm assuming this is either a tilt in my pelvis or lack of mobility in the bad ankle stopping that knee moving out in front like the other one does.

A board helps a little but I'm starting to wonder if 2 legged squatting is ever going to be a good idea for me. Maybe I'll look at some one legged alternatives or something.

Even commercial grade shit seems to be broken more often than not, so personally I'd stay away from every buying my own cardio shit. Too many bits and pieces to break.

meals prepared by some chef

With the cost of said meals (including chef's pay, all appliances and kitchenware, utilities like gas etc, and delivery) being of absolutely no concern to the man.

Oh also he has all the time he wants to work out. ALL the time.

And finally, gear. Though that's the least relevant point here haha

    • Yes the gear for the R33/34 is different, it is red and has a different number of teeth. My part didn't come with that gear though, so I don't know how many teeth are on the red one. You'd have to reuse the 260RS/R33 gear, as long as it's not destroyed.   Haha, as unfortunate as that might be it was working fine for about the first 1500km I've had the car for now.
    • Update all   thanks to the workshop manual, it lead me back to checking fuses as mentioned central locking and door open lights worked when acc was switched on. diagram attached shows two points of power 1. ACC and 2.  Batt with the later being fused (#28) I did check the fuses using a multimeter but I must have stuffed that up also. Went back and checked the batt fuse in interior fuse box and you wouldn’t believe it… a blown fuse. replaced fuse and everything is now working as it should including the climate control   thank you all with your positive insight and knowledge.
    • Where is the warning "That this thread is super old"   I just went into a 5 year old thread, went to do a reply, and couldn't see anywhere obvious a warning of it being super old
    • Duncan is correct. Pitwork (and Toyota's own cheap brand "Drive Joy") were primarily created as brands to sell other manufacturers car parts. It would be weird if Nissan sold parts for Toyota vehicles with a Nissan logo on it, so they created Pitwork to sell parts for other brans Toyota, Honda etc. They are not the same as Nissan genuine parts, although they *do* meet Nissan's standards for replacement parts. They aren't supposed to be a substitute for genuine parts, but a cheaper alternative that is better than Ebay fake parts from you-know-where.
