Hey guys,

I have a highflowed turbo for sale that came off a stagea I bought recently. The turbo would suit a rebuild as there is some noticeable movement back and forth on the shaft and also side to side. The compressor housing also shows the slighest signs of being touched by the compressor wheel on occasion. The turbo did not make any noise before it came off and had a slight amount of oil left in the cooler pipes.

I have no receipts for the work as it was done by previous owners but I will get pics of the front/rear wheels and its quite obvious that it has been highflowed as they are massive.

Still yet to get a quote from a turbo shop to rebuild this but I would expect around the $400-$500 mark.

Done a search here and these highflows seem to go for about 1300 bucks secondhand so im going to ask $600 for my one as is. Will eventually get a quote on rebuild and may even have this done then sell as a new turbo but I thought I would post it up and see if anyone else wants to take it as is.

Located in Perth but should be ok to post.

Regards,

Ryan

I'm interested, but your dreaming if you think people will pay $600 for a turbo that needs a rebuild.

Also is it ballbearing or journal? Who did the original work? Any dyno sheets?

Fair enough. I wasnt very sure on the price so im open to offers. Feel free to PM me with one. Il also get a quote on the rebuild and at the same time hopefully get some specs. Way I saw it was that people pay 1500 bucks to get their turbo's highflowed, and if my assumptions are correct then this turbo will only need about 400-500 worth of work done to get it rebuilt and working properly as a highflow...so its basically a new highflow for 1k give or take.

Anyway, il get some pics and a quote in the next few days hopefully.

Oh and sorry no specs or dyno sheets. Ive had the car 2 weeks and only drove it half a k before a cooler pipe fell of and subsequently got run over =/.

Cheers guys.

Ok guys I spoke to the turbo place today and they told me the following:

- Definitely a high flow (duh)

- Capable of about 450hp

- Scoring on the compressor housing is easily tidied up.

- Compressor wheel will need replacement as one of the fins is slightly bent ($120 for new wheel)

- To expect about $800 all up for a rebuild inc parts and labour....and it was a worst case scenario sort of quote.

So in light of this the new price for the turbo is 300 ono

Pm me your post code mate

Il see if my local PO is willing to ship it and how much etc and make a decision from there!

Edit: Post code = zip code

turbo is off a series 1 or 2 skyline or equivelent , actuator though is defenently off a series 1 skyline which leads me to believe its a series 1 turbo. rear wheel is defenently bigger and front i think is noticably different like mine with room to go bigger still. rear whwwl is same size as mine. does it have a rear steel for sure???? also core of turbo has noticable blemish marks in the metal which is a sign or uneven heat on the core. as you already know turbos get very hot so try get some close up shots to inspect for cracksin the casting. Really though for 100 dollars i would just buy it any way and take my chances b4 somebody else snaps it up.

    • I have more than enough digging, laying blocks, moving gravel, airrating, feeding and top soiling the grass, and setting up the veggie gardens growing some seedlings,  and then removing all the unused rock to keep me busy for the next few months at least,  hopefully the rain stops soon so I can get a few hours in this arvo, but, before that Sunday is washing day, is every body happy, you bet your life we are Nice country road day drives are a day off whenever I'm muscle sore from all the landscaping at the moment, but, more epic multiple day drives will start once the majority of the big jobs outside are completed

    • I thought I'd come back and add something I JUST learned. A Toyota LandCruiser with a 1HZ, mates perfectly with a bottle of Nulon brake fluid. As in, it perfectly screws in. Great make shift funnel when you cut the bottom of it off. This may work for your Corolla.   Unfortunately, tipping a 10L drum is much harder than a 4 to 6L bottle, and they no longer include the easy pour tap which was just perfection to use previously.
    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
