R3sp3ct
G'day My question is about the silver 100000kms service sticker that is on the black belt cover on the front of the engine. Does this mean it has had the service or needs it?? Im looking to buy an R33 GTST with 71000kms on it and it has the silver sticker. Could this suggest it has more kms then on the clock or do most imports get the 100000kms service upon arrival to Aus?? Any insight would be much appreciated. Cheers Steve Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/203280-100k-km-service-sticker/ Share on other sites

(B1) MR_fanny
if the sticker has a hand written odo reading on it then a 100k service has been done on it. if it has 100k that is printed then it is a reminder to do it. to better check if things have been done and wound back check to see if there is any signs of sticker outlines that may suggest the 100k service sticker has been removed previously. as with all the numerous threads about what to look for in buying a skyline...check wear/condition of interior and engine to match odo reading, do a compression test and all the other usual stuff. check to see if wires have been hacked and so on. R3sp3ct
Ok thanks guys, any other comments about the sticker post 'em up. Would an NRMA check be good enough to determine whether the car is in order in regards to compression tests and what not?? (B1) MR_fanny
from what i have heard insurance mechs are textbook, a fault is a fault even if its not really a fault. you could take it to a workshop that works with liners for them to check out. Proximity Motorsport
diferent places will do different things.. mainly, gearbox, engine, diff oil power steer, brake and clutch fluid flush wheels bearings timing belt radiator hoses brake pads or rotors thats some of the things that may be done... and i have heard alot of japs do the 100,000km service every 50,000. Cause usually u service it say 5000km or 6 months... but a 100,000km service is done say every 100,000km or 6 years.. and they may only get 50,000km on it in that 6 years..... if u ge what i mean Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/203280-100k-km-service-sticker/#findComment-3610557 Share on other sites
