Hey mate, I have to agree... I just to have this wing on my R33 just for something different (just the wing itself without sidescraps) - but I gotta say, it looks nice but the only thing I didn't like was that it lent towards the back too much - if it was straight up and across like a T then that's fine, but it kinda "ducktailed" to the back too much which made it look rather funny.

Oh well, everyone to there own.

For a R34 - I recommend a OEM Wing.

go here: www.carmate.com - browse for your model, go to Wings and then look for the above wing I described - bet you will like it.

I was going to put this wing on my R33 with custom bootlid but ended up going GTR wing as with R33's only the GTR wing does it.

Good luck.

Is it to remove off a black 34? If so, just rip off the wing, clean up the boot, and plug up the holes with rubber grommets courtesy of Clark Rubber. If the car is black, you wont be able to see the grommets unless you're up close. Alternatively get the holes filled for about $300 at a panel shop, cos they will need to respray the whole boot.

its not hard to remove the nismo wing off the r34. its has 4 bolts through the boot and 2 through the guards on each side. undo all these and done, wing comes off. like others have said, u can patch up the holes in the rear guards and have them re-sprayed, and the ones in the boot i believe still align with an oem wing so try that on before drilling any new holes.

My car looks like that now lol

I've already bought a copy GTR wing, just need to fin time to have it painted and the holes patched up.

Bloody Nissan, the side wing parts leave 7 gaping holes on each side of the rear quarters :(

uhh don't know which one you're talking about

I've taken mine off and it left 7 holes on each side quarter, I'll post pics if you don't believe me

Well... very interesting thread, as i did the whole process a few months ago :(

Lets see.. let me find some pics...

The only wing i could be bothered to put on after the make over.. as i was rushed for the auto salon.

A few years after the show... bit more modification... etc etc.. wing ripped.. and as you can see. mine wasn't bolted. siliconed on which i think was a much smarter move than what the previous owners of your cars did. Holes :S what a waste.

Then car repainted and now with OEM R34 GT-R wing.

Owgasm's black version of the OEM GTR R34 spoiler looks nice, is it carbon fibre? or just black?

R-SPEC get rid of the Nismo spoiler, I hate it. ;) . If I had that spoiler I'd take it off and put on the GTR on or leave it off.

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
