If you genuinley need to drive to support a family member then Im prety shure you can aply for an extraordinary licence. Defenitley know that if you loose your licence and need to drive for work then you can get an extraordinary licence to go to and from work after the first month of the suspension has expired

THIS IS INCORRECT.

Once you have lost your lisence THE ONLY RECOURSE you have is to challenge it in court, on the basis that you are not guilty of the crime. That means that you can't try and make up some excuse/hardship story about why you did what you did, or why you must drive. Its only done on the basis that you did not commit the crime for which you are being sanctioned.

There are no ways to get a work/hardship/whateverotherexcuse permit lisence in Victoria.

why you would be driving around in a skyline in Noble Park is beyond me anyway...

Sorry to say but what you stated seems right to me.

If you loose( well.. gain ) your demerits point its because you have done something wrong. Simple as that, and to loose 6 in one night... well enough said above.

In response to 2 suspensions running together, I can assure you it happens. Maybe just a matter of luck though :)

Yes, but only if the judge says so.

VicRoads cant just "slap it together". It must be applied by the courts, and clearly wasn't in this instance

Noble Park = City of Greater Dandenong = New ByLaws coming soon = Crushed Cars...

Members of the City of Greater Dandenong "hobnobs" are trying to put through some new laws... ...which means they'll demand the local cops take your car and crush it... ...It's happened in parts of the U.S. as we all know...

Their trying to take the "Hoon Laws" that one step...

I work for Dandenong and I hate getting stopped by the cops almost every day while working... ...They don't think I have a job because I'm always driving around... ...Springvale guys aren't so bad... ...Because father runs that station and the 'Line is parked in their yard sometimes...

FYI... ...KNOW more than just the state laws... ...Know the local ones as well...

You best go back and check those facts, if you can prove that losing your liscense will cost you your job they will give you a permit to drive during certain hours and only for certain reasons, another truck driver at work is permitted to do that, the permit does not cover him getting to and from work in his car, just work hours in a truck.

wtf were u doing to lose 6 points in one nite????

no offence but im not surprised........i doubt u lost 6 points because u went to noble park.......u proberly did some stupid shit while at noble park......

tough luck buddy, and honestly good riddens. its f*k heads like u who f*k it up for everyone else.

6 points....i can only imagine wtf u were doin...

Fellas,

Firstly, it is really much appreciated that everyone has given their time and thoughts - it is much appreciated, really.

Now, good question about the 6 demerit points thing... it's been nearly a year or so now so forgive me if it doesn't stack up entirely, but here's what basically happened...

I'm still on my god-damn P's because 4 years ago I was involved in a car accident and, long story short, got my license cancelled for 12 months - after this 12 months, I had to go for the driving test etc again and got my license back only to find I had to go back on my P's plates for 3 years as per every other newbie that's just turned 18!! arrrrhhhh but ok, let's more on...

So, I get my license back around 2 years ago and decided to buy myself a Honda Accord, it came with some engine mods and I drive it as usual; within the first 3 months, racked up camera speeding fines - the reason being the wheels that this Honda Accord had were 2 inches bigger than stock (fark me if I knew) - so I kept going like 5-8 K's over all the time, bang copped 4 demerit points.

As you guys know, on P' plates you only have 5 demerit points for the period of your 3 year probation (something like that) - so I got 1 point left... a few months past, then I accidentally ran a red light - and that was it... VicRoads sends me this really nice green-looking letter giving me two options 1) hand the license in for 4 months or 2) be really good on a 1 point bond.

Half a year past and everything was fine - then I had to drive to my fiance's place in Noble Park for some family gathering (with my Mum in the car) - on the way back... here's what the 6 points were...

I drive up to the Princess Highway area to head to the City, I see cops everywhere - I shit myself and did a U turn to go to another route, the cops saw me and ran after me as if I was a criminal (2 cop cars chased after me) and told me to follow them - so they take me to a quiet road, do all those random tests then give me a fine worth 3 demerit points and a fine for "driving on the opposite direction of a one way road" - I mean, for f**k's sake, it was empty and I just needed to do a quick U-turn - but fair enough, I was wrong so I copped it on the chin... so he fines me and tells me I'll lose three demerit points and sends me off... at this point, I knew I was f**ked already... so I drove of anyway... then the farken copper radios his mates, 3 cop cars came chasing after me like 500 metres down the road from where the first coppers booked me... the told me to open my hood up - and defected me for my BOV, POD, Boost Controller and wheels being too low... new law, apparently, says you lost 2 demerit points for a defective vehicle - so that's around 5 points now... then the bastard walks around my car and points out that my P's were not displayed clearly... which they were, I had P's at the front and the back - but he said they're not bright enough.. so we had a verbal argument but he forced the fine on me and that was it... another 1 point for that... I had fines coming out of my arse... and that was the end... oh worth adding that I had written to the traffic authorities and all were denied so I had to pay up... once I had paid, Vicroads then sent me a letter about my 6 months suspension...

Then came the Magistrates court - from now where, the Victorian police sends me this summons about something that had happened years ago - I went to court, fined $1,900 and given an extra 1 month suspension - so that's 7 months... fair enough, so this ends this March... now, they tell me that I gotta do the time for the 4 months as I had broken my bond....

Aarrrhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Well, I guess I gotta do the time... but surely, I must do something as I need to drive to help my mother out... does anyone know anything or anyone that can help me please?

Thanks all.

Kevin

Surely you would have noticed that you were always travelling faster than other cars.. 5ks over is quite a noticeable difference when your driving in a set speed zone.

Why did you do a u-turn when you saw the police? That's obviously suspicious behaviour? Or was this on the night on the Noble Park Riots or something?

I know that was a dumb move - I freaked, and yes, it was during the riots bullshit period - I should have kept on, they would have still clubbered me, but at least it would have been less, I guess...

Damn it... seriously, I am farken so killing myself... you guys don't know how frustrating it is!

sounds like your farked without court intervention, also sounds like you have a pretty farked history and sounds like you are on your Ps still.

mate, Justin911 had the only good advice so far, sell you car and use the money for taxis in the meantime...and buy a sk8 board.

Or ride a bike and use public transport. Saves money on fuel and gives u the exercise :D

My mom can't drive and is forced to use public transport. I mean.....I can't drive her around forever since I'm getting married and stuff and you have your on life to worry about as well.

Well you can't exactly say your car is subtle, so especially during that riot-period, coupled with your suspicious u-turning.. :)

Don't worry though you're not alone in that stupid u-turn thing, I did it years back and got pwned big time too

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
