hey all,

get this: i ordered a HPI dvd from the afore mentioned site, they said it would be SEVEN DAYS untill i receive it. two weeks later, ive received no phone calls or emails explaining the situation, and the customer service ppl dont even want to know about you

btw this isnt fhe first time ive had a bad experience with magstore

last year i ordered a gift magazine subscription for my mum for christmas, i didnt get the first issue until three months later, AFTER i had bothered to call them and get them to ***n fix the situation..

sounds like im havin a bitch? yeh well i am, and this should serve as a heads up to all of you out there... stick to the newsagency for buying mags :D

yeah im surprised at their lack of professionalism and PR abilities. Any business worth its salt would know they survive purely on the basis that people want to buy their product/service ... poor service leads to poor feedback, and bad word of mouth is the most destructive form of advertising out there.

they say it takes something like $10,000 in advertising to gain a customer and only 10seconds to lose them, lol

are they doing the subscriptions for HPI, or can you go directly to HPI and order the subscription from them? next time, I would rather do that, than go for an intermediary company such as magstore.com.au if this continues

heh, least u got a Hot4's mag, they'll have to send you the HPI magazines sooner or later, so u got a free mag outta it, lol...... i kept thinking someone stole my mail, cuz i never received anything for weeks, then i emailed them, and they said that it was just sent, so it was very late

It would be a good idea to edit the company name out of your posts guys, even though your beef seems to be legit, and perhaps inform people who the specific company is by PM or similar. It is a bad idea to openly slag companies off in a public forum, whether or not you have been burnt by them-I would guarantee the Forum owner does not want a lawsuit.

cheers,

floody

This isn't Defamation as he has a reason to slander them as badman tells us that magshop is failing to serve its customers adaquetely and for us to be forewarned, I am glad I read this and hopefully will wait until magstore improve there performance before I decide to be a client of there business.

"Reason" and "slander" are mutually exclusive in this context. If anyone slanders a paricular business or individual on this forum, the thread(s) and post(s) will locked and/or deleted.

The club through the forum cannot be opened up to the type of action an upset business or individual may try and pursue because of some poorly thought out statements by people with with no responsibility.

You as a customer have an obvious right to get the answers you need. Contact them again. Email someone other than customer service. Ask to speak to someone other than cust. service. Sure you can talk about it but just make sure you go about it the right way and think about how your statements can affect the club. I'd also suggest that if you have to single out people on this forum, you make sure you know their relationship to the business you're bitching about.

Thankyou.

    • Saw this video today from Adam LZ.    Long story short is he is claiming that the load from the engine fan once the fan clutch heats up(engaged) is increasing the getrag rattle(at idle) when you don't have a dual mass flywheel.  Before I go buying an electric fan setup .... Anyone heard of this ?    I must admit when my car is cold the getrag is pretty quiet and I do notice the rattle after it is all warmed up. I've always assumed this is due to the gearbox oil temp and tolerances of metal.
    • Yep it sure does.   Tone wheel lines up in the same spot perfectly.
    • Something I meant to say when we were chatting the other night about having an open trailer floor being great to work on a car, but you've never used the feature... It's a great place to park a car after doing suspension component changes, and do the tightening of all the bushes with the car sitting at full ride height. Especially when you don't have a 4 post hoist!
    • That is way more science than even I would use. I just eyeball it, not even accounting for the non-verticality of the tape measure when held on the lip and the centre at the same time. +/- 2mm is good enough for the girls I go out with.
    • So, before putting them in I need to understand the stock ride height. This is how I measured it: First, check the diameter of the wheel's centre cap, it was 52mm. Then put a piece of masking tape approximately across the centre and measure 27mm (half) from at least 3 sides to get a reasonable idea of the centre of the wheel cap. Mark that with a horizontal line as one measuring point. Then, directly above the wheel on the guard, put another piece of masking tape in approximately the centre. Use a string line to find out the point on the guard above the centre of the wheel cap and mark that. Then it is simple, just a tape measure to check the distance from centre of the wheel to the centre of the guard. Final results where  LF: 381mm RF: 379mm LR: 401mm RR: 400mm Pretty even considering they are 120,000klm old factory springs, lets call that 380 front and 400 rear.
