here's a delimma, should I or should I not take my back seat out and bring a set of extra wheels. I'm too lazy to change it to my thrash wheels but I'm worried about the current wheels even though it has been balanced with new tyres.

If you're worried about them bring em along. Nothing like getting half a lap in and then having to stop.

I've got a similar dilema - do I keep my 19's on which have Michelin Pilot PS2's or change back to 18's stockies with Khumo's and Federal's?

The Michelin's are the grippiest street tyre I have ever driven on but they're also around $900 a corner!

How does someone know if they are confirmed for trackday??Also how do you get a garage space??? If so does anyone want to share one?? i just want to leave my things in there tools/jack etc

The garages are $50 for the day, but where everyone puts their stuff in the sheds is free

Hey Mate,

word from a few people is taht all servo's on the way down are out of 98 and have been for 2 weeks.

There is 103 available at the track now, but no idea how much.

I'm thinking of taking down a couple of jerry cans, but will decide tonight.

On a side note, I pick up my Go Pro Motorsport Hero last night. Woo Hoo! Can't wait to test it out.

If anyone has an SD memory card, happy to share the Go Pro love if you want to bring it along. The camera can only take up to 2GB SD cards and you get about 60mins of footage on 2 gig.

You can also set it to take photo's at 5 sec intervals as you're going around.

Cheers

Bobby

Id really like to see the video quality of it, will you be posting vids afterwards? :)

Hey Steve

Sure will. I've seen some examples on youtube but until I take my own footage I have no idea if they have edited the quality.

The youtube stuff looks great. And this thing is bloody tiny.

Here's a vid from Bathurst drive day

Yep, apparantly they have tailored sound to pic up engine noise better.

In all honesty, the mounts are the impressive parts and the adaptors to connect to things like helmets.

Once I get some time, I'm gonna try and rig up a better camera to the mounting system, and use this one more for shots from the front bumper if they let me.

Wakefield were pretty hesitant to allow it, but the shop I bought it from gave them a call an explained what it is. Apparantly Wakie do not want to allow any suction type mounts at all.

James,

Dont be a sook and bring em, they'll fit

my cars ready to go, all packed.

just two nuts I couldnt budge (need to goto gym more!!) (I did a trial of taking nuts off to see how tight they would be

yeah easy dude.

back rest - down bottom left and right corner are 2 bolts. undo them - then get ya hands at bottom of back rest and left up and out.

the bottom part, undo two more bolts/nuts and then it takes a bit of pulling (hehe) to get it out.

Might even need to use a long handle bar or something?

otherwise James you can still get 4 tyres in the back with the seat in, I have many times.

I have one of these for on board video/bumper cam. It is ok but doesn't pick up the sound very well. But it is good value for the price (about $110 USD or about $180 Aud bought locally from ebay).

I'd be interested to compare with the video from your unit.

alrighty folks and folkettes, I'm all packed up and ready to go. i'll be (hopefully) heading out to the crossroad at about5:15-:30 and get there sometime before six. I'll do a quick drive around and see if I can find anybody, if not I'll just head off myself. Also if you any one is meeting up there and don't see me then just go. I'll catch up later.

I'm in the silver r33 with big f.uck off nismo stickers on the side and the cliche rims.

my number is 0410172420 should anyone become really lonely on the road and need some company.

and if you are a hot babe, call me as well.

see you all there!!!!

well suck me dry, THAT was a fun day!!!! Good to see so many different cars out there.

High light of the day? Well its gotta be pressuring the Honda boys into making mistakes.....God I'm evil

I really enjoyed today. the nugget s13 held up well considering it was doing double duty but we retired it after the brake shudder got to be more than we could handle and maintain lap times.

I was really disappointed with the turn 1-2 combo. I had no confidence on the brakes in there all day, grip was just woeful. I was actually braking later in the wet when i was last down there (admittedly the stock ecu speed cut liked to kick in at the apex of the kink this time so i figure i was carrying a little more speed).

The ripples are back at turn 10. didn't take long. and theres a new bump on the exit :D

yes that bump......I almost thought I broke something when I hit it....could've saved at least .5 sec if I used it but it wasn't worth breaking my car over.

corner one to two..........I was actually watching the instructor giving lessons to the guy in front of me, so I copied him....looks like I've been using all the wrong lines for this corner combo before, now I know what to do but alas, it was already the end of the day.

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
