Hey...

my car is nearly getting there.. after finding a VAC leak and replace 02 sensor and new fuel filter n pump.

it goes surggey,!!!

i've got some atmo BOV, and a GFB manual boost controller and a HKS Pod.

any ideas? i aint got much left to replace and rather spend it on BLING BLING then crap parts that dont fix it!!!

atm its running 13PSI

600 x 400 x 75 FMIC...

S/S 3" 1/2 inch turbo back WITH 7 " n 1/2 turbo box...

Forged pistons/rings/pins/shells/graphite gaskets etc...

cleaned/flowed/ported head with new stemseals/core plugs etc...

Stock ECU...

New Platium NGK Plugs 'yes pre gapped as per manual'...

GFB Manul boost controller...

HKS Replica SSQ BOV...

HKS Pod Filter...

Twin Plate Clutch...

HSD Coilovers

Yep thats it...

but i think maybe CAS... or BOV

any ideas please help... its lame, drives hell hard other wise

=S

haha thanks lighty01... well could be, its hanging there LOL... maybe i should invest in a electric one?!

um i recently topped my batterie up with some distilled water, and put my stock BOV back on.

Doesnt have as much power... cause the stock BOv its leaking of the extra boost?

and also i got no 'PSTTT' noise going through the pod no more!? i use to ages ago....

any reasons why its not? i heard its called blowback... and its not good... correct?

well my problem i found that an intercooler pipe was blowen off... and leaking off boost... causing my other problem, along with a el cheapo BOV adaptor isn't 100% flat =/ i think thats it... not sure?!

else i might look at AFM or CAS timing...

if your loosing boost, check all your vacuum lines, cooler pipes and the BOV, if its a HKS replica its obviously cheap shit and quite possibly leaking boost.

get rid of the GFB boost controller and hook up your standard solenoid (if you have one) that should run 7psi on highboost and if it doesnt piss around and carry on then you know the valve is bollocksed (which wouldnt be hard do believe)

also, remember the standard ECU has a boost cut, if your running a squillion pounds on your standard tune the engine WILL stop it from boosting, mainly to protect the engine. ALSO! you have a standard AFR.

so your fuel/air ratios are not tuned and the more boost you run with a standard setting the more its not going to like it.

basically it could be anything. just have a look at all that.

but the factory BOV leaks of excess boost though!

my AFR are 11:## @ 13PSI, and yea it was at 1 BAR but i lowered it on the dyno lol to get higher HP.

and yes its a series 2 turbo

i am pretty sure thats save enough @ 11 ish air / fuel ratio!!

wether your turbo is safe at 13psi and 11.0:1 A:F ratio has nothing to do with the stock ECU going spastic due to AIR FLOW at that sort of boost at those revs.

just have a look at the thread titled "quiet screamer pipe".

the started "RB2530" has a few things to say about stock ecu and AFM cut etc.

Page 3 I think..

    • Had a chat to Tony Mamo - he advised that looking at the graph's shape (regardless of number translation) it shouldn't be levelling off like that up top. He said it looks like the car is running a restrictor plate or something of that nature. Luckily the last dyno pull on E85 was saved to the PC - So I did a quick trace of Barometric KPA vs Intake manifold pressure, and lo and behold I see a copy of the 'waves' I was seeing on the dyno: I'm not entirely sure how to go about addressing this. It may be worth sacrificing IAT to run a more direct intake for the motor. Though packaging this could be flat out impossible given the constraints of the car. I should have removed the intake pipe to see if this made a difference but looking at this graph I now have something to potentially test in the future and think about. This one is from an old track day log in the OLD setup going through gears on track.
    • Oh, I forgot too, all the multimedia stuff captured and sold through things like people playing Pokemon Go. Pokemon Go specifically, can actually be traced all the way back to a CIA investment company too. So yep, they're watching everything. Not to mention the new stuff where they've worked out how to use WiFi signals to be able to map occupants inside of a building. That one would be something that I see being more used in public/government buildings, as you need to understand the signals when the room has no one in it first. It's not as easy as Hollywood would like you to think it is.

    • Lets keep this going , Spotted this very stock V35 in Penrith and also saw a nice R32 FLY past me on Castlereagh rd , sounded really good.
    • Great work! Give it a clean up with some Emery paper, and I'd run a thread die over the threads too to clean them up. It will make reinstall much easier, and also life easier for the next time it needs to come out.
