Can i have a Power Estimate for the following mods on an ECR33 S2 RB25DET. Like how much HP or kW can i get if these mods are done and tuned properly on power fc.

Stock RB25DET Internals

Stock AFM (Nismo didn't make a version for the ECR33)

HKS GT2530 Turbo Kit

Nismo Fuel Pump (4.1L)

Nismo 555cc Injectors

ARC Front Mounted Intercooler

SplitFire Coilpacks

Nismo Muffler

Nismo Sports Clutch Plate, Nismo Sports Clutch Cover, Nismo Lightened Flywheel (can hold 380ps aka 280kw)

Z32 AFM Hmmm. I always get the impresion that the ecr33 and z32 AFM are the same. lol I'm guessing that the Z32 AFM is a direct bolt on (no wires to splice or anything). How about a Z33 AFM ?

Anybody knows what a Z32 AFM looks like? When i say 'looks like' i mean serial numbers or something that tells me it's a Z32 AFM. The local wreck yard is a mess and they just dump all the AFM in one area which makes it hard to find if you don't know what you are looking for.

Anyone knows where i can get a 'new plug' for the Z32 AFM?

220-240kw isn't much. I was hoping for at least 400Hp aka 300kw or around that number :)

Ah yes, i forgot to mention adding a Nismo Single Plate clutch & Lightened Flywheel as well.

my impression would be if you were wanting to hit 400hp with that turbo, it would be either unarchieveable or fairly close to it and ya turbo wont last too long.

if you were wanting to hit those numbers then a gt3040, gt30r, gt2835 would of been a better choice.

I am hitting 344hp on 14psi with a gt30r, so havent really started getting into the efficiency range of my turbo yet. So 400hp is easily archieveable if my engine holds up.

Get a z32 afm, or a q45 afm, stock afm wont cope after 240kw.

also get a full turboback exhaust

nismo muffler sounds like you have the std exhaust system - if you do, throw it in the bin

You might want to keep the stock exhaust for defects :no:

Definitely get an aftermarket exhaust system, headers, and consider getting a high flow cat if your going for a turbo upgrade. The better the car can breathe the better it will work.

Also consider a high-flow panel filter (that ones debatable though) if your running an aftermarket airbox.

    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
    • From memory, on the R33 GTSt at least, while everyone says "It's not adjustable", I found when I changed clutches in mine, it just needed a small adjustment on the rod length. But be very wary here, as you could end up trying to push the pushrod in the master too far, or blowing out the slave.   Most likely though, if the master/slave isn't bypassing internally or leaking out, then the throw out is the wrong height compared to the fingers on the clutch, so when it moves to disengage the clutch, it isn't 100% disengaged. You can check part of this out too by jacking the car up, having the engine running, put your foot on the clutch and try to engage 1st gear. If it goes in pretty easy (Compared to the ground) and/or the wheels start turning a fair bit and it takes a bit too much brake pedal to bring them back to a stop, this is likely the issue.  I'm not sure if you can adjust the height of the forks etc in these though, it's been that long since I've touched any RB gearbox.
    • That's all good, I thought I was missing some interesting feature! Maybe @PranK can double check if that is something that is meant to be operating or not.
    • I hope that is not something that bad. From what i remember he said that only first gear is "hard" to get in and that he has couple of ideas what to try next but idk 😕  hope it is not gearbox out. I will let you know.
    • If it's not the hydraulics, it is probably gearbox back out. Usually as per @Duncan's post, or otherwise associated with not getting the throwout fork positioned correctly. All the way up to catastrophically bolting shit back together without it being aligned properly and wrecking the clutch/input shaft/flywheel/something else.
