Hi Laurel,

Hope you dont mind me trying to help.

Is this the same HKS turbo that you were talking about in your previous for sale thread:

"hey guys iv got a hks t04e turbo litle shaft play 450 n a set of sard 550 cc injectors for 550 pm me or call 0410661080..."

If so it maybe ideal to let prospective buyers know that it does have shaft play in this thread?????? I would hate to be the buyer then realise the turbo had shaft play.

Of course if it isnt the same one best of luck with the sale and free bump! even if it does have shaft play still not a bad price after rebuild, however it maybe beneficial to let buyers know this.

    • Can we place bets? My money is on there is always the option to use the 1 way profile. So the diff is either 2 way and 1 way, or 1.5 way or 1 way.
    • I also used Knox driveshafts when I the slip yoke T56 to the 3bolted TR6060 type. I believe I was one of his first jobs as it literally changed hands when I was there, started by the old owner and finished by the new. Everyone seemed pretty great about it. So wasn't shy/seemed pretty knowledgeable when dealing with weird custom people like me.
    • Just a reminder orange park was cool back in the day   and drifting the main circuit was even cooler   f**k I miss that car
    • We used Knox Drive shafts years ago when we were doing gravel rally, good guy but I heard it had changed hands? He's got a lot of stuff and is miles cheaper than GJ and so on. He used to have a lathe setup with a MIG torch on the tool holder so he could get the uni welds just right, quite a clever guy. I just got a driveshaft done for my sequential installation and that was through Balancing Services Australia in Preston, they did the Gibson cars in the old days. New genuine CV's, billet yoke, new centre bearing and chome moly shaft was $2k.
    • Thanks for sharing that mate, I've got a couple of spares on the shelf but all the unis are tight....will give old mate a shout. BTW are you sure it wasn't just a $400 paint job? Any detail of what they replaced (cut/reweld?)
