yeh lol i came on to scan and see what everyone was doin with there cars, the potential of different models etc, and after changing my mind about 1000 times decided to stick with getting a skyline ;)

let me no how u go with fuel consumption aswell

i'l have the same mods as u but with a front mount running 12psi, so im hoping for 200rwkw (which is my goal)

this remap sounds ideal

dont go on msn much dude, sumtimes facebook or just on here

:)

^ i think he does.

Best to pm him and ask tho.

However im pretty sure he saves the map before burning it onto a chip.

Micheal- fuel milage is much better than before. getting 400-450 now. Depending how on hard i drive etc offcourse.

before remap, i changed my 02sensor and plugs. Which helped a lot as well..

Edit: I got 250 to a half a tank last week. So i was pretty happy!!

Really? Care to name who said it?

Well r33 ecus have been remapped for the past 5 years

So thats a heck of a long time and still going..

Dont see why the ecu would fark out?

Tell your mechanic to give the correct facts out..

^ by that i mean, why it would stop working. What factors are involved etc etc..

thanks for your question

thats fine, i will be able to send interstate.

the cost will be $350 + postage

if you are not happy with the chip i will be able to give you a refund or ill be able to remap the chipp again for you.

Toshi - Do you keep the tunes stored for future use?

say If I have the same engine, same mods as SID.

and I live interstate..

Can I just purchase your R33 ECU + send my stock one to you?

for the cost of the tune + postage etc?

I've had my ECU remapped by Toshi but we done it on the dyno.

Pretty happy with the results.

198.9kw @ 10.5psi

X-force bellmouth dump pipe, X-force cat, Kakimoto exhaust (2 mufflers)

Stagea side mount

Silicone intake

Iridium plugs

Turbotech boost controller

I did find out last week that I HAVE to use premium fuel only, was pinging bad!

A full tank (50L to fill) would get me around 380-400km.

The best I got out of a full tank was 591km - trip to Canberra and back and drove to work for a couple of days.

This option of remap was perfect for me as I don't intend on modifying the Skyline any further.

well that is 2 with very similar/consistant results.

as for the premium thing, I would have thought you would ALWAYS use 98 on these cars.

I always have.

also, when you say stagea smic, I assume it was the NEO engine one so essentially an R34 smic yeh?

great results.

I too don't intend to go past the stock turbo's power limits so that is why I will go down this path.

and the fact is, just like the R34 smic I always argue people to get, if you decide to go further in the future, you could sell your ECU, SMIC, etc to the next guy who just bought an R33 with cat back and pod filter.

get all your money back.

the way I see it, my costs will be..

dump/front pipe - $120 second hand

cat - $200 new

fuel pump - $150

turbo tech bleed valve - $30

R34 SMIC - $150

ECU - $350

$1000 = bees dick under 200rwkw.

I'll spend further money on brakes, tyres, clutch gauges/monitoring etc.

excellent bargain.

I've seen 200rwkw R33 gtst's run a high 12 or flat 13.

can't ask for more for a street car.

I was desperate and there was a 98 shortage at my local servos on that day

The Stagea SMIC is exactly like the R34 and was only $100

That was exactly the same train of thought I had when I started to modify the Skyline.

Those mods are the best bang for your bucks and 200kw daily street car is very nice........

As for the boost thing, it was heat soak on the dyno.

As you can see from the dyno chart we did a few runs (not all full runs) to get to the final figure, the last few were back to back.

I tell people 200kw, if i had that extra 0.5 psi it would have made it

post-36493-1207556120_thumb.jpg

Impressive results peter

Yea toshi was telling me that your car was pinging hard!!

But 198kw you just cant complain!!

How long did the dyno tune take btw?? I have only done the road tune

This option of remap was perfect for me as I don't intend on modifying the Skyline any further.

Exactly and for 400 bucks i honestly think its the best thing i have done to my car lol..

Couldnt agree more with you there.

Upgrade your suspension bits, rubbers and rims plus other little suspension mods and you will be easily cracking 1.10s at wakefield.

I got stock suspension (lowered springs), with caster rods.. thicker rear sway bar.. stock rims with street rubbers and my car acheived 1.13 at wakefield.

Which i think its pretty damn quick for 196kw.

sidd - that was hand timed Im guessing?

Still - rather quick for lack of mods!!!

Time for me to get my ass into gear!!

NOOO proper lap timers. So one bit was attached to my side mirror. Each time i went past the timer on the side (pit area), it would record the time.. You know what im talking about right?

infra red.. cost over 600 bucks apparently

edit: Yea peter i think you need to adjust your boost controller properly. Is a electronic one? or manual?

    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
    • There's not a great deal to report here .... except ...... FOR .... LSD!!!  I bought a Quaife LSD from the UK and shipped it here .... Wish I'd just bought locally cause the shipping and duty was $700! But there were so many diffs used in the E90s I just wanted to be absolutely certain I was getting the right one so I spoke with a supplier in the UK who builds race cars and they have heaps of experience with the E90s.  I pulled the diff out which was seriously awesome - I've never done anything like that before, I must have watched 1000 videos on YT about it as well as consulting the Bentley manual. It was super easy in the end. The diff was delivered to the awesome folks at Hornsby Diffs and will be back in a few weeks. I also replaced the diff bushings with some Nolathane ones.  Really looking forward to getting it back and getting back to the track or even the skidpan.
    • yeah... the 13kg/mm springs weren't always in there, I had 10kg/mm but doing a few SMSP commanded heavier front springs. It's so good now going into T1 and T2, just need more seat time and real tyres.
