ummm, ive never done this sorta thing before and i only have an NA skyline, but id love to come try it out, would it be worth putting my stocko mags and tyres back on, as i really cant afford to wreck my good ones. What do i need? and nething else u could tell me that i should know being new to this kind of thing.

if you have a set of wheels and tyres that are spare it cant be a bad thing to wack them on for the day i spose...... just check all fluid levels like oil water power steer etc etc etc and that the car is running well and make sure u have plenty of fuel when u get to the track..... and a helmet and long pants and shirt and shoes.....

I am thinking about it. The QLD mini car club I was in, used to go there a bit, just depends on whether I am going out on Saturday night. Got a mate going to England for 12 months and I am sure he said the party was this weekend. If it isn't I will come along. I will find out tomorrow.

lol it may weigh a heap but it looks like a bitch to take out too so id prolly leave it in lol........

okay... sorry guys no confirmation on the spectators bit but id just bring a bit of extra cash along just incase.... i think they also have food there ....COST IS $40 to race but unsure on spectating cost..... would be good to see as many ppl as possible there.....

okay ill meet anyone who is comming at the top of the range here in TOOWOOMBA at the mobil servo at >>>>

**9:30AM** MEET AT TOP OF RANGE....

**10:00am** DEPART THE SERVO AT THE TOP OF THE RANGE AND HEAD FOR WARWICK

**11:00AM** APPROX ARRIVE AT THE TRACK

**12:00PM** THATS WHEN THE SESSION STARTS MAYBE EVEN GET ON THE TRACK EVEN SOONER IF WE ARE LUCKY.....

If everyone can meet at the top of the range servo by 9:45am it would be good cause then we can run on time and stress less :P my mobile number is 0407 642 160 feel free to call me if u have any questions please only call on sat after 5 pm or after 8 am on sunday and please inform us if u are going to be a bit late and we should be able to hang around and wait for you within reason....

a mate told me it takes just over 1 hr to get to the top of the range from YATALA cruising at the speed limit so please use that as a guide i would prefer u all to be early rather than late of course.... i have never been out here racing but i hear its alot of fun and u get alot of track time aswell.....

AND THE BEST THING IS I HEAR A FEW WRX'S ARE COMMING TOO..... that will be "FUN".......

it is a very easy drive here and it has good roads too....hope to see u guys here on sunday morning .....

Hhmm......If coming from Brisbane, the point on Ipswich motorway where you split to go either to Cunningham Hwy or Warrego Hwy (to Tmba) is roughly at Dinmore, Toowoomba, Warwick and Dinmore form a triangle. If you go on from Dinmore on Warrego to Toowoomba then on to Warwick, it's like doing too sides of a triangle. If you stick to Cunningham it will cut out heaps of time and you'll be able to sleep in another 1/2 hr to 45mins.

I only finish work (in brisbane) at 2.30pm :P so I won't be able to make it out.

thats a good piont 4 doorz but i know alot of ppl may rather go longer and travel with a group and have less chance of getting lost i spose....by all means if ppl wanna meet us at maccas at warwick thats cool we just gotta know who to wait for....

if its $40 ull most likely be doing the short track which should se about 40-45 second laps, be warned do not use ur brakes too much cos last time i was there a guy rolled his car, and a few others hit the walls in their beautiful wrx's and liners! id say spectators are free. I wont be going was at darlington park yesterday racing M3's around sweet sweet 200km/h

Please refrain from making ridiculous comments like this. How do you know they ran out of brakes?

I just spend almost $5000 on my brakes, should I not use them too much?

Jon : are we allowed to dive under each other under brakes?? :)

Actually on second though...nismoman18 is right, dont use your brakes too much, just go cannoning into the corners way too hot. See you guys in intensive care.

    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
    • Place the new daughterboard in the case and mount it using the 3 small black rivets provided, and reconnect the 3 factory ribbon cables to the new board Then, use the 3 piggyback cables from the daughterboard into the factory board on top (there are stand offs in the case to keep them apart. and remember to reconnect the antenna and rear cover fan wires. 1 screw to hold the motherboard in place. Before closing the case, make a hole in the sticker covering a hole in the case and run the cable for the android unit into the plug there. The video forgot this step, so did I, so will you probably. Then redo the 4 screws on back, 2 each top and bottom, 3 each side and put the 2 brackets back on.....all ready to go and not that tricky really.
    • Onto the android unit. You need to remove the top screen because there is a daughterboard to put inside the case. Each side vent pops out from clips; start at the bottom and carefully remove upwards (use a trim remover tool to avoid breaking anything). Then the lower screen and controls come out, 4 screws, a couple of clips (including 3 flimsy ones at the top) and 3 plugs on the rear. Then the upper screen, 4 screws and a bunch of plugs and she is out. From there, remove the mounting brackets (2 screws each), 4 screws on the rear, 2 screws top and bottom and 3 screws holding in the small plates on each side. When you remove the back cover (tight fit), watch out for the power cable for the fan, I removed it so I could put the back aside. The mainboard is held in by 1 screw in the middle, 1 aerial at the top and 3 ribbon cables. If you've ever done any laptop stuff the ribbon cables are OK to work with, just pop up the retainer and they slide out. If you are not familiar just grab a 12 year old from an iphone factory, they will know how it works The case should now look like this:
    • Switching the console was tricky. First there were 6 screws to remove, and also the little adapter loom and its screws had to come out. Also don't forget to remove the 2 screws holding the central locking receiver. Then there are 4 clips on either side....these were very tight in this case and needed careful persuading with a long flat screw driver....some force required but not enough to break them...this was probably the fiddliest part of the whole job. In my case I needed both the wiring loom and the central locking receiver module to swap across to the new one. That was it for the console, so "assembly is the reverse of disassembly"
