My wife has already mentioned maybe we could help organise the next one and have it ending up at our place in West Perth/ Leederville to enjoy homemade pizzas from our wood fired oven. Plus, there is a large vacant block at the end of the lane way which will provide plenty of parking space. Anyway, just an idea. :D

Just had another wild idea too! Maybe we could stop into the AHG driving centre enroute (pre-arranged) and carry out a couple of driving challenges like they do on 'Top Gear'. Nothing that will damage the cars of course, but fun challenges such as timed road cone slalom course or something. Perhaps a zero to 60 to zero comp, Brad has to do it in reverse! HAHA... Like I said, just a wild idea.

Anyway, John and Chuckie did a great job of organising the last one and I really enjoyed it.

Thanks guys!

James

was just going to be SOOO much work putting all the trim back in - the door skins etc etc

aanyhoo - I put my hand up for assisting in the next cruise for sure.

does sound like I missed a good day- oh and the installs far from over- was still working on it at 10 last night - so its not some fabricated excuse not to come

hhmm .. lets see .. driving around or contorting painfully under the dash - mmm .. lets see what wins.

oh and TOP work getting some prizes donated by local shops.. thats always nice :)

Now it's a p1ss weak excuse!

if you could drive to work today, how come you couldn't have chucked the passenger seat back in and come out yesterday.

If you had you would have missed all the rain, we did, not one 'brolly reqd.

Next time we'll try to give you more notice!!!

Shamus, you missed out on a really good day. I hope everyone enjoyed the map and the quiz. I enjoyed making them and getting and giving the prizes.

Steve and Mandy won the 1st prize.... (T-shirt)

Leroy and Penny won 2nd (flask)

I guess that I should say that Supercheap in Melville donated the socket set (3rd prize), which was won by Daniel and Dale.

The best all-around answer for "I love my Stagea because?" was from Graham..... "cos everything else sucks!"

Thanks guys for all the photo's and supporting the day, just a pity that a few more didn't make it..... still I think that it rated well.

Rebold Hill look out was something.........talk about take over the car park!

Looking forward to the next one..... hopefully I helped to "lift the bar" a little.

A bit more organisation, (and help) and we could have had much better prizes. So I am going to offer my help to whoever wants to do the next one. I reckon that I can get a few good prizes out of people if we try hard. I once did a combined car club quiz night, and we had prizes for the top 16 tables!! First prize was a weekend for 6 in Albany, including the fuel to get there!! 2nd a weekend for 2 in Perth.

Something like that might a few more turner-uppers!!

Thanks for an interesting tour of the city fellas' glad I took the time to come & join in, met some good people, learned heaps from the quiz (all gone now but) called in at Wilkinson Suspension on the way out & got the rest of the bits from Whiteline kit fitted so the weekend was not all "indulgence" after all John.

Thanks for a great day out.

GW :)

Hey James I think that having another cruise and ending up at your place for Pizza is a top idea.

How do you think we'll go for parking??

Have you any idea how you'd like to run it...... happy to help mate.

Oh, and Graham so glad that you enjoyed it all. It's a bit tough tryiing to find your way and answer questions on paper. At least you had a go though. Sorry we only had prizes to fourth. Next time.

maybe we'll have to think of some other way of competing. AHG sounds OK but I think that we'd have buckley's. Still we could approach someone else. (maybe a private company with a large carpark?

Maybe start a new thread for ideas for the next run/cruise.

Hi John, I would not be able to run it until after June the 20th, as I have a annual check @ work to study up for and pass.

We have had up to about 30 people at our pizza nights so food covered. Even if everyone chips in $5 it covers all the ingredients.

As for parking, there is room to park just on a very large vacant block at the end of our back laneway. Probably 10 cars along the front and more if parked two deep. If that fails, Beatty Park (aquatic centre) carpark is two minutes walk away with ample parking and a photo opportunity in front of the cricket ground next to it. Another spot is the WA outdoor volleyball courts carpark which is about one minutes walk away. You will see both of those locations on Google earth near the corner of Vincent and Charles Street North Perth.

I think starting a new thread for ideas is a great idea. I thinking keeping it fairly relaxed and not bigger than Ben Hur sort of day is a good idea.

I never got to go on one of Wildcats cruises, but think she has done an excellent thing getting Stagea owners together. If she, yourself or anyone else wants to help organise the next one I would love the help as I am very much a newbie to all of this.

G`Day all, dose it have to be a cruise, why not just have a meet one night for a feed & coffee & bullshit ,not like we have to get out on the road just be GOOD to sit & have a chat, cheer`s chuckie

Seconded!

I will bring the chocolate cookies :P

actually had the car for just over 2 1/2 months, but the gearbox went 2 weeks after i bought it so copped a full gearbox rebuild (took 2 months to do so though...) under warranty :whistling:

+1 to a meet up / cruise / whatever, need to get out and meet some fellow stagea owners as i have only really talked to Appealing and MRO.

    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
