Rickal
Was very surprised to discover that the V35 350GT that I just got yesterday didn't have cruise control. For a highly specced car, this is amazing. I had always assumed it was standard. Has anyone tried fitting an aftermarket one ? I find it the easiest way to avoid speeding. WazR32GTSt
from my post in the other thread: the only cruise that was offered on the V35 was the active cruise in the sedans i posted a pic in another thread.. will attach it again.. the car has an IR display on the front grille and has different lights in the instrument cluster.. the cruise from the G35 is a normal cruise system from what i have read on G35driver Edited March 29, 2008 by WazR32GTSt Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/212498-cruise-control/#findComment-3754622 Share on other sites

Chris Rogers
trust me you DO NOT want to see the car right now. figured I'd make a start on it. quick notes- no lights on dash- checked that. positions are there though. brake switch - non existant. cruise wiring - non existant. I'll chase a brake switch tomorrow. cruise wiring is going to require a bit of 'thought' . considering shielded cable on it for noise sake. Chris Rogers
ok brake switch is in place (modded one cannot get the correct one so I'm using a N16 one with a relay for polarity.) cruise switch is wired and checked- have ladder voltages when pressing buttons. now for a test run. all voltages check out. WazR32GTSt
damn.. good luck with village nissan - hope they can offer some help what do you think the issue is? something else in the G35 that is needed to control it? if it fails, could the steering buttons be hooked up to an aftermarket cruise control so that it operates using the buttons, but controls the car like something that is known to work? Chris Rogers
I have the ECU in my lap now googling the part number. put a request to a mate of mine in the states for a G35 ECU and G35 cluster for 2003 spec. I so want to crack WHY this wont go. looking at it the whole thing MUST come down to firmware. there is nothing else needed - the whole lot dumps literally into the ECU and gets driven from there. option 2 I though about but I think the ladder voltage is different to teh ones I use. that is a last resort Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/212498-cruise-control/#findComment-3759982 Share on other sites
rs73
alternatively if it doesn't work due to ECU issue or firmare? can the buttons be mapped to any aftermarket cruise control unit locally available ?
