hey all um just recently bought my gtst r33 line and im slowly pimping it out just wondering if any one would have the slightest on what killawatt i would have and what quarter mile i should exspect with these mods

auto

running 12.8 psi

gready ecu

hybrid fmic

apexi pod filter

shift kit

bosh 040 fuelpump

kakamoto full turbo back exhuast sytem

tein coilovers

running on 265 tyres

and if it matters i got the viscas hub fan converted to electic thermo fan

any ideas ppl

also any mods i need ???

cheers heaps

i would say possibly around 180-190rwkw

being a auto it deifiently would be alot faster then 15seconds.....thats if u get a good launch and some good tyres

possibly 13 seconds

pimping it out?

as in show style ulleh?

well, take all that crap out before you go to the strip - less weight = go faster.

My guess - 180rwkw at most and the quarter - well, being auto you should be able to get off the line a bit, and if you can - Id say anywhere from 13.8 to 14.5 mph around 98

Go down to the strip and find out. Talk is cheap when it comes to 1/4 mile times and certainly no fun at all for you.

:worship:

15 seconds. See how you go. You might be faster than that or you might not?

what are gtst r33 standard kw and qm ???

They vary alot!!!

I did a 15.0@91 in a stock standard r33gtst manual

cat back and pod filter did a 14.5 @ 95

yeah true that you hear ppl say they got like 220 kw and they got less mods kinda confusses you a bit aye i have playyed with a few r33s on freeway smoshed a few of em but been chopped by a marloo aye haha.. from the mods you can see i have what should i go for next for some good kw gain?

haha yeah dunno....dont listen to them.

Remember, people can bullshit all they want but tell them to take it to the track and thats the true results :worship:

Next mods?

suspension and brakes.

yeah i got the coilovers suspention,,and the breaks kinda stuck for engine mods wanna get the killawatt but like dont wanna spend like five grand and dont know what next was thinking bigger injjectors and ajustable cams ??

what setup you running ??

You want to get the kw but dont want to spend too much money?

And you bought a skyline!?!?! lol

hahah

From your mods now,

Id look at a newer/bigger turbo, injectors, z32 air flow meter, retune on ECU, Maybe a stall converter to get off the line better??- all depends on your budget and what you want out of your car mate. Is it going to be a straight line car? daily drive? track?

you need to look at what you want out of the car, and then go in that direction :worship:

My set up is pretty basic, its just the basic mods really.

FMIC, full exhaust and hi-fow cat, ecu, boost, hi-flow turbo - only makes 235rwkw - havent taken it down the 1/4 on this latest set up (I prefer the circuit!)

hope this helps :)

    • I don't think the shuffle can damage the turbos. It only happens at low shaft speeds and loads. It's just annoying (to some people - others are tickled by the effect) and it quite possibly reduces spool performance a little bit.
    • Oh dear. The panel beating needs to be done before the filler work. Do you have a photo of the dent before you started? Hard enough to not flex and only hit the high spots?  What do you mean it was just temporary?
    • Can u check this way it works for power supply?
    • These coils draw 10amps that what i read online
    • I appreciate the detailed explanation, think I understand now. I spent the better part of last night reading what I could about shuffle and potential solutions. I had replaced the OEM twin turbo pipe with an alternate Y pipe that is separated further away from the turbo. The current one is from HKS and I had a previous pipe that was separated even further away, both have shuffle. I had heard that a divider can be welded in to the OEM pipe to remove turbulence, and figure that aftermarket pipes that are more separated would achieve the same thing. From what I read, most people with -10 turbos get shuffle due to their size, though it's a bit less common with -5s on a standard RB26. I think Nismoid mentioned somewhere it's because OEM recirculation piping is common in Australia with -5 cars. It seems that the recommendation tends to vary between a few options, which I've ordered in what I think is most feasible for me:  1. Retune the MAP or boost controller to try to eliminate shuffle 2. Install OEM recirculation piping 3. Something called a 'balance pipe' welded onto the exhaust manifolds. I don't know if kits for this are available, seems like pure fabrication work 4. simply go single turbo My current layout is as follows: Garrett 2860 -5s HKS Racing Suction intake MAF delete pipes HKS racing chamber intake piping hard intercooler piping,  ARC intercooler HKS SSQV BOV and pipe Haltech 2500 elite ECU and boost solenoid/controller HPI dump pipes OEM exhaust manifolds HKS VCAM step 1 and supporting head modifications Built 2.6 bottom end All OEM recirculation piping was removed, relevant areas sealed off I'll keep an eye out for any alternative solutions but can get started with this.  Only other question is, does shuffle harm the turbo (or anything else)? It seems like some people say your turbo shafts will explode because of the opposing forces after a while and others say they just live with it and adjust their pedal foot accordingly.
