Geeeesh...sorry!

Hardly a 'smart' plate, but I like it!

Or plates like LUKEB

-If i wanted to know your name i'd ask you

-If you need to label your vehicle with your own name, you must have some sort of disorder

-It's not primary school, your possessions do not need to be labelled with your name

Seriously Mark, love the plates. Really sets your car off. Can't wait to see it after the tint

There's been some truly ridiculous plates mentioned in this thread, but I've just found some that take the cake:

Ebay link

Lol, can't but help feel sorry. Well, considering that this is the very first item he is trying to sell on eBay, maybe he just got the decimal spot and zeros in the wrong place :P

no...the decimal point is in the correct position.....(I asked him!)

I think he's a member here too!

Lol, sorry, the sarcasm in my post doesn't carry over too well.

I'm surprised you asked him - does he honestly think he has a chance of someone forfeiting a new R35 GTR to get those plates?

haha...nah nah man..it's all good!

Yep, he really reckons it's the shit........quite amazing when you consider that you can get the car for the same price.

People who buy the new GTR aren't necessarily going to be rich, maybe more 'value-for-money' thrill seekers....(I reckon anyway).

(Gaaaaawd...I'd love one!!)...with "GSTRNG" as the number plate!

Just a general comment on this as my plates are my surname. And I know you weren't having a go at me personally.

They were a gift my partner got me for christmas a while ago as all my mates call me by my surname. Its like a nickname in this case. Its not that I went out and purchased them to 'label' my car or let you know who's driving. I like the plates a lot anyway. Plus my grandpa was proud as punch (is that the expression?) when he saw them.

Just thought i'd put a different spin on the idea of having your name on your plates as opposed to the above opinion.

God help us if the guy had the plates 'R35GTR'

I don't think ebay would accept the number of zeroes in the price he would be after

Hi DK!...the quote that Luke and I originally used was from a few pages/years back, and was in reference to the 'allegedly' silly people (ie, us) who use 'personal names/car descriptions' on their plates...and that only 'Enigma Coded' plates are the shit.

I can bet my 'left one' that Luke (and I) is actually agreeing with you, 100 puschent!

I reckon that having the 'name of the car' on the plate just finishes out the package, and more establishes you as an enthusiast!...(or C0KH3D..lol!)....just my take on it!

Every plate that I've seen on this thread has been farkin ace!!!.....be them 'Enigma-Coded' or personal!...lol!!!!!

We got some very smart people here...glad to be part of the shit!

Luke..at the risk of being told to get a room.....did VRoads clear the nice yellow schticker for you today?

Can you keep the sticker...I want to put it on the old man's car, not with lick, but with supa-glue.

Think people usually pre-emptively get plates for next model available. [R36GTR] already gone, although [R37GTR] still up for grabs. But then again, who knows what it will be called by then?

    • You don’t need to use full throttle all the time to break these blocks, 500kw at the wheels in more then enough to break them even with an occasional squirt. Hell I’ve seen them break under 400kw
    • A work around is to install the R35 card style AFM/MAF on the cold side of the intercooler piping and the BOV on the hot side piping. Works well, also you can combat the revs dropping by adding a bit more ignition timing on the idle ignition timing table to slow the rate of RPM drop.
    • Understood. If you dont have a ridiculous limit,  Tune, T's and P's are in check, and arent bashing it all the time and doing the due deligence for maintenance(inc oil analysis) then its pretty safe. 100% agree, let your right food control it to some extent.
    • So these external kits with the machined block for remote solenoid mount will only work on a NEO head and RB30 or RB26 bottom end   For an R33 head on a 26 bottom end the remote vct kit is to resolve RB26 manifold adaptor plates etc  IF you try to use the remote VCT on an RB30 or RB26 bottom end with an R33 head then  you can starve the cam journal??? I have one of these kits from bits I had years ago before plans changed  I don't understand how that tracks with this video   https://youtu.be/RuPiI22Mplk?feature=shared   This looks like I can run the v termite vct kit to feed the VCT on an R33 head on an RB26 bottom end?!?!?   Lol.... don't v have these problems on RB20s
    • Yeah i know that MAF is no no for this type of BoV. The engine has no BoV and "hose/pipes" ..it was all deleted (or probably it was not even on the engine when it was bought  ) It does that "sutututu" noise which i kinda do not want(atmospheric is better IMO...but standalone ECU)  What are the cons of running without blow off on stock RB25DET NEO. It running 5-7 PSI max (it has boost controller)   EDIT: and can Nistune be "tuned" to know there is no BoV to i dont know "know" and be better for a car? I read so many info about no BoV. One guy saying it is bad and hurting the turbo/engine/car and other that it does not...
