Got a ballpark figure on them 'discount' kits?

:D

when i turn my A/C on it makes a very bad squeaking noise.....does that mean my belts are stuffed or the tensioner pulleys are on their way out.....if so can you please PM me a ballpark figure on those for a r33

Joel will be dropping sometime soon for some of the Gates auxiliary belts.

Check for wear on the belt first, otherwise it just needs tightening up.

Hello,

I was up there the other day to get an o-ring for a oil filter bracket i was making. I saw your skyline at the door but didn't know you were a SAU member. Can you give me a price on some S13/180sx front wheel bearings ( i think i know who much they are, last time i was quoted $90). I Know your timing belt tensioner and idler kits were sh#t loads cheaper than Nissan's price.

Thanks

Dale

You're not kidding there when I did my 100K kms service, I had to go through Nissan (paid almost $400) cos CBC were out of stock & all their interstate suppliers wouldn't sell theirs to them as they were running low as well :down:.

hey yall

i just got in 2 Front wheel bearing kits and 2 Rear wheel bearing kits.

retail they are like $150 for fronts and almost $200 for rear lol but i can do them for closer to 80-90.

D_stirls ill look into it for ya bro. just give me a bell just incase i forget ;p.

it sure is mine nightcrawler but its a 2 door O.o and the front bar aint tidy at all lol. just hit a damn curb the other day. still spitting chips :P

cubes i can hook you up on the belts but im not sure about the tensioner pulley. (lol i was gonna say bring it in for me to look at but i got 1 on my car LAWL) ill see what i can do there :D

cheers.. CBC definitely do a suitable bearing as I have replaced it some time ago but the old man with and his ham fist buggered the pulley smacking it in, now the bugger causes the belts to squeek.

I've grabbed another will pop the bearing out with the press and bring it in. The press has to be one of the best tools I've bought; used it for almost everything. :P

Any idea what I'm looking at for 3 of those gates belts? powersteer, a/c and water.

around 20 each id say man, maybe a lil less.

they are

4pk835

4pk925

4pk945

im pretty sure they are the ones on mine.

ill have to get them in from VIC so call me up first cubes then ill buzz ya when they are in or something.

i think i might need some front wheel bearings. ill sus out my car and see if it is the bearings going out.

might just get front and rear bearing at the same time.

could you tell me a price and ill come in and get some off ya.

cheers

Can you help me out with a price to replace the bearings in my hubs

the front are stagea awd and the rear normal gtst and do they come with seals, do you do seals, or do i get those elsewhere

this is for a 5 stud conversion hubs are'nt in the car yet

thanks for your help :D

nps adrian :D

steve the Rear wheel bearing kit doesnt come with a seal but its not a normal tapered roller bearing (most common wheel bearings). Ive never pulled my wheels off so im not sure if a seal is needed, i wouldn't think so seem as the bearing is sealed already, but yes we do have seals and get get pretty much any seal under the f**king sun ;) As for the fronts ill need to know what year stagea they are from and we can go from there.

cheers

    • ok so if i wanted to go 18's i would go for 8's  in front 30+ or 32+ off set at front and the back 9 would be ok? what offset should i aim for.. then can i do some  hunting for wheel rim choices..    If i get this - will this fit all around: Size: 18 x 8.5 +37 - n what tyres size tyre should i get for front n back?
    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
