Rb26 Overheating Problems

My 26 has an over heating problem. I have changed the thermostat and put new coolant in and still the same problem. Temp needle is on the H! Any ideas into what could be causing this? It has also developed a high idle.

Any more specs? Standard radiato? Standard or n1 pump? history?

Check your radiator first. Then get a temperature of the coolant through the hoses. It might be the sensor, but unlikely.
