I would get that one fixed, mod shop or ms if you can get that under warranty

Both systems have same graphics minor differences, i believe the 360 has a better graphics card then ps3 but the processing power is a bit stronger on the ps3.

I will probably get a ps3 for its blu ray player and a couple of exclusive games. mgs2 and kill zone 2. So i am not biased to either. The 360 controllers are heaps better imho. If you like multiplayer too, nothing comes close to xbox live.

So to answer your question get your 360 sorted and if you can see any other reason why you would need ps3 get one.

Take this post into consideration i think alot of people here own ps3 and will tell you to get one just because they have one

I have 360 and play online alot. One main reason i still have it is because my friends have it and we all play online together. I do like PS3 though and blu ray is a bonus. If you play games by yourself and dont get online much, get PS3 but if your like me, XLive shits all over PS3 online. I would send yours away and get PS3 aswell.

Have you actualy ever compared the two together? Even microsoft admits that its not in the same league as the ps3. The graphics are only similar when its a game that has just been ported for all platforms. If its a game that was made for the ps3 it gives graphics the 360 cany even dream of... Check out the in car view of GT5 Prolouge on the 1080P resolution if you dont believe me, the level of detail is simply amazing

Procesing is a bit stronger in the ps3? It uses a specialy designed 8 core cell cpu (cant buy anything that powerfull for pc's today) vs the 360's tweaked 3 core intel xenon cpu... Id say its an insane ammount more powerfull

Ops i am sorry did that upset you

Yes you are right with everything you said and i am wrong.

lol, wtf?!

He's right though dude, I own a 360 (came back from repairs just yesterday) and the fact that it broke once, and will most likely break again, will make me get a PS3... before Xbox came along, console breakages were a myth...

i retract my sarcasim

not interested in console argument i have all three, and have my reasons for liking each.

PS3 (at this stage) = blu ray video machine when some good games come out i hope to see this change

xbox 360 = gaming machine

wii = lots of fun, but now really just collects dust

Yeah...I have had a -

Sega Master System 2 - Never broke down (still have and works!)

Nintendo Gameboy "the house brick" - Never broke down (still have and works!)

Nintendo SNES - Never broke down

Nintendo 64 - Never broke down (sold to a mate, and still works)

Playstation 2 - had for close to 10 years, never broke down

Playstation 3 - never broken down

My mate and his little brother both bought 360's when they came out. they have gone through 7 between them...

Keep away from 360's...

My original Nintendo still works, providing you blow hard enough into the cartridge :)

Every couple of years I go back to it to see if I can finish some games that I couldn't when I was younger... as it turns out... no... I can't...

HAHAHA SAME HERE

went home sick from work the other day so on the way home bought a PS3 GTA 4 bundle... I have to say the console feels far superior to the 360 in terms of bulid quality... It runs soooooo much quieter and no where near as hot as the 360... after playing the 360 for an hour you could take the disk out and fry an egg on it!

Very happy with the purchase although the graphics on GTA 4 aren't exactly flawless so can't really tell how it stacks up in that area... we will see how GT 5 compares to Forza 2 in the juicy graphics stakes

anyone want to buy some 360 games lol

I am looking to buy another cheap one but with hdmi to take advantage of my 1080p tv as all 360's DO 1080p. You should really get it fixed, cause there are some exclusive AAA titles coming out shortly that can't be missed like Ninja gaiden 2 and gears of war2

I will... I'm still a little 'emotional'

I mean if Bill Gates wasn't such a nice guy now I would be flying to the states to personally throw it at his head

they guy in EB who sold me the ps3 reckons he has been through 4 360's... one of them lasted a total of 10 minutes out of the packaging before it self destructed... I would be homicidal

The PS3 has a tweaked version of a Geforce 7800GTX graphics chip, and in theory it should be faster than a standard GF7800GTX.

You can buy AMD's (very hard to find) 4x4 platform or that (insanely overpriced) Intel Skull (or whatever it is called) dual cpu socket motherboard & throw two QX9770s on it :D ... me want one of those... all glory to Octo core!

Back to topic, to the OP just get a PS3 & throw the 360 to the bin, where it belongs lol.

    • Haha I do that.. thats when it chirps..The bit point for me is almost non-existent. Otherwise I stall it. But yes, in terms of performance, the clutch is solid af.
    • Greg speaks wisdom. These dirty old Datsuns are only value when they are cheap. When they are not cheap, there is no value. Sounds contradictory, but it's true. We are now 20 years past the hey day of modifying cheap 90s JDM cars for small amounts of money. This is a different world. If you are rich and can afford not to care about what is effectively wasting money on an old Datto shitter, then I have no reason to argue against it. But if you are wanting to experience what we all experienced back in 2005 (and I bought my car last century!) then there is no way to do it.
    • Short answer: No. Medium answer: No, because you still need to conjure the things out of thin air to bolt them to a NA to make it a NA+T. Long Answer: No - The things you need to conjure - meaning a turbo, intercooling, manifolds, exhaust, intake/manifold/piping, clutch, injectors, fuel pump, AFM (?), ECU + Wiring (woo, N/A loom fun) have to come from somewhere. You could have many scavenged these things from an OEM car that someone had upgraded from and use some of these. This will be cost prohibitive now, especially so in the USA. You'd probably pay the same for newer, upgraded components that are better than old OEM stuff from 25-30 years ago. None of these big ticket items are re-usable for the N/A car. Why not buy new and upgrade while you're there? The only real consideration is turbo and fuel sizing and determining whether you want to stay within the bounds of the OEM engine or get into rebuild territory. These limits ARE lower with a N/A motor and especially N/A gearbox at the starting point. And if you're gonna upgrade those then you may as well consider having them built to begin with. Because everyone here knows you're never far from that next engine rebuild once you start making the power you want... The cars you see on the internet and SAU etc have been built over decades. If you're really clued in... you would sell your US car to somebody for what you paid for it. You would then scour AU JDM pages or SAU and buy a car like Dose's on this forum with your powerful American Dollar. This will save you so much money in the long term. Importing it could be tricky. Or it might not because USA. I have long said the only reason 90's Japanese stuff took off was because a) Japanese people had Japanese cars so that is what they used b) Australians could import these cars to Australia with very minimal changes and use them on the road here c) Neither country had well-priced access to US or EU Sports Cars. I don't believe the JDM scene would have taken off in Australia at all if we had EU priced EU BMW M offerings, or more especially the AUS V8 Scene would never have existed if we had the multitude of US cars like Camaros, Mustangs, Corvettes at the prices you folks do. After all - Do the math. I would say put a V8 in your R34 and that's the smart way forward. It is. I did it. I know this from my own experience. But at that point there's no reason to simply not buy a C5 or C6? It would be simpler and easier and cheaper and bette-
    • Reading all this... hurts lol. I have an ENR34 5MT and I paid an inflated USA price for the car alone, had to do tons of preventative maintenance past that, and so I'm over $30K USD into the car already and haven't even touched power.  I wanted to +t it. Not even trying to make GTR numbers, I'd be happy with 250hp.  Can I get away with paying much less to make that happen?
    • Damn you’ve done well, definitely snapping necks.
