Hi,

Has anyone got an ignition map which i could compare to mine? got way too low power output on the dynapack today.

My tuner wasn't sure how much ignition the RB25DET could deal with.

So this is my ignition map, got 383RWHP and 390 NM of tourque @ 1.4 bars on a GT3582R

If any one has got a 400++ RWHP ignition map, could you please share it with me?

On PM or in this thread.

Thanks,

Stian

Hey

There must be something wrong there. my engine made 400rwhp on 17psi.

Here is my old timing map when my car made 487rwhp.

If your tuner is not sure what timing a rb25det can take then i would be worried if i was you. Every engine takes different timing. Different configurations = different tuning.

That was 24psi with a GT3582r to make 487rwhp.

This tune was back in the day when i used to run huge timing on cruise.

I remember on 17psi or 16 i think it was with 18deg timing it made 406rwhp.. stock cams

too early in the power range for valve float....

I think its something simple. check cam timing... what kind of exaust / manifolds are you using ?

what computer is that ? haltach or autronic or something?

anyway post up the setup of your car and we might be able to help track the issue down.

have you tried running the car on the dyno with the exaust dropped just before the cat?

try that

Hi,

This is the engine:

· 1.6 mm Greddy Head Gasket

· HKS Timing Belt

· Greddy Plenum

· Splitfire Coils

· Tomei Poncams

· Tial 44 mm Wastegate

· XS power style exhaust manifold

· Garrett GT3582R A/R .82

· FMIC

· Nismo 555cc Injectors

· Walbro 255 l/m in tank fuel pump

· HKS air filter

· 3” elbow/downpipe, with cat replacer.

· 3" Greddy cat back

Running with NGK BCPR7ES spark plugs, 0.9 mm gap.

My computer is GTSlink.

Going to check the cam timing later this day.

Thanks!

Hmm strange, AFR's seem allright and the power curve doesnt have any abnormal dips. It's almost as if something is holding it back. Are the cams dialed in correctly? Compression on all 6 cylinders fine? That setup should be making around 330-350kw@wheels on 1.4bar with bigger injectors :bomb_ie: What's the injector duty cycle on the 555's?

I'm making 235rwkw at 1.2 bar (HKS GT2535) and can only run 10 degrees of advance at full power  98 Octane of course. From looking at that timing here others are running 15 degrees or more. What gives?

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
