Charles89
I've bought these ANZ 17'' multi 4 stud rims(4x100 and 4x114.3), they were on a Civic. But I'm just wondering if it will fit my car (96 R33 GTS). The rims are 215/45. And I've read it somewhere that the "lug size" might be different between a Honda and a Skyline, so will they fit? And can I use my current nuts for these rims? bryyy
hahaha thats precious. dont buy wheels before you know they will fit. 4x114.3 is correct for a non turbo however, lug size has nothing to do with the wheels. only thing of concern is offset and width - 215/45 only relates to the tyre, not the rim. bryyy
I forgot to mention that providing the offset is below +40 then they should fit without any problems Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/219391-help-will-these-rims-fit-my-gts/#findComment-3870288 Share on other sites

Eug
with stock brakes shouldn't be an issue Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/219391-help-will-these-rims-fit-my-gts/#findComment-3870657 Share on other sites
GTS4WD
The width is 7'' front and back. I have got R32 GTR's which are 9 iches without any problems.. but its a 32.. could there be that much diff? BTW... need offsets to confirm.. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/219391-help-will-these-rims-fit-my-gts/#findComment-3871480 Share on other sites

If your talking about the r32 gtr wheels in your pics, they are actually 16x8 +20something (cant remember the offset) The lower the offset the further away from the brakes/hub it will sit. So I figure that the I figure that the 33 should be able to run just as wide rims as a 32.. considering r33 GTR rims are 8's too I dont see the problem with running 8's.. thats what i was refering too.. Can we get what model civic? Because I know some civics run ~+40 offset (in which case they will be sweet as and will sit the same as stock wheels).. unless the previous owner bought a set of rims with retarded offsets.. dezz
Just a tip, I wouldn't be doing any track/motorkhana spirited driving on those rims. Seen plenty of sets fail completely.. R34GTFOUR
dont buy them, 215 wide tyres are ghey, and with a rim width of only 7" you wont be able to fit much bigger later on. keep searching, plenty on nice rims out there EDIT: just realised you already bought them, OOPS... Hawker180
just so you know r32 GTR Rims are 16x8 +30 R33 Gtr Rims are 17x9 +30 and R34 Gtr Rims are 18x9+30. only one in this thread that is making any sense! Those rims off the civic will look terrible, sunken fitments FOR THE LOSS! If you have an R33 then you will need something with more of a negative offset for it to look any good! R33's have massive guards you will need rims at least 8" wide (+30 offset) or 9" (+35 offset) Edited May 21, 2008 by Hawker180 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/219391-help-will-these-rims-fit-my-gts/#findComment-3883678 Share on other sites
-R33GTS-
You have to get at least 8" across the back otherwise your R33 will look overweight.. here's a pic with my 9" rears Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/219391-help-will-these-rims-fit-my-gts/#findComment-3883837 Share on other sites
bryyy
Somone was saying that 7 inch front and back was the widest you could go.. Umm NO. I've run 9 up front and 10's on the rear on my 32 gtst with no problems. Depends on the offset, the wider the wheel, the lower the offset needs to be. nisskid
knowing the offset is vital, stock R33 wheels are 16x6.5 +45ish, being 17x7's i wouldnt recommend going any higher than +45, my guess is those wheels are between +38 and +42 so should be fine. as mentioned GTS's have small little 2-pot calipers which are easy as piss to clear, so chances are the wheel will clear them fine. pretty simply though, fit them and find out, put them on, push them hard against the mounting surface and make sure theres no obvious fouling, tighten 2 nuts up, spin the wheel around by hand, watch for it clearing the caliper, watch for it clearing the upper control arm at the front, at the rear look out for the tie rod end for the HICAS (shouldnt be an issue for these wheels), then turn the front wheels lock to lock and check for rubbing. if this is all good drop the car and turn the wheels lock to lock and slowly drive back and forth, get someone to stay close to the wheel wells and listen for any rubbing.
