Hi All,

The next motoconcepts day @ Eastern Creek is on 20 August, its a half day from 1pm to 5pm.

List price is $150, not sure about the final price for the group or discounts, maybe majanal can confirm when he gets a chance.

So who's coming along?

benm, looking thru the archives, our usual group price is $130 for over 15 cars, $140 for under 15. Even at $150 the price is good compared with, say:

0-15km over $127

15-30km over $203

30-45km over $565

45+km over $1559

Jigga, Eastern Creek lap is about 2min, and there are typically 10-20 cars on the track, so there is plenty of room each. You will come across other cars (or have them come across you) at times depending on how spaced out everyone is. Typically they run 3-4 groups of similar lap times to minimse the traffic.

Normally there are 4x20min sessions, and that is often enough, especially if its your first time out, its hard work for both driver and car!

bri33sta, catch you and Ben there!

Not sure when it applies but also the cost of storage when your car is impounded, plus court fees if applicable, insurance costs when you do get your license back.

Hi guys,

I have spoken to Moto and booked 10 spots (based on the very slow response from you all). As a norm they need a deposit of $50 which I will collect and then send to them in one go. Total cost will be $140. (less than 15 people)

Deposit need to be to me NO LATER than Next Wednesday (13/8/03) as I'll sned the deposits to Moto on Thursday. PM me for account details if you need them.

I don't think I will be attending this day as I need to begin some saving for the world cup (lots of drinking/flying around the country/drinking/meeting people from other countries/drinking/kicking international rugby teams arses/drinking/screaming abuse at opposition and referees/drinking/drinking and I'll probably have a few beers along the way! :D

Ben,

Half days are quite often the best... less time for you to over heat brakes, wear out tyres, break stuff, wear yourself out etc. in fact last track day was the first time I have actually driven in every session on a full day! Also you can say to the doctor you have a dentist appiontment in the arvo and can you take a half day... the response is usually yes!

Interested Drivers:

Duncan (deposit 24/7/03)

Jigga

Cheers,

Dan.

unbelievable... people go and buy these bloody GTR's ... yes the Race version and then they need to go and add this and that to them for a bloody track day... now I must call all GTR whimps for this... not their owners though!

:bahaha:

looks like a quiet day out there! where's all the team members?

Since there's not many out there, I'll be able to help out with some pointers if anyone is interested.

Prank,

You don't need a sump as the g's you induce on normal road tyres don't cause the oil to tip enough to one side. But I understand it's a precautionary thing as you don't want to pop a motor.

    • ok so if i wanted to go 18's i would go for 8's  in front 30+ or 32+ off set at front and the back 9 would be ok? what offset should i aim for.. then can i do some  hunting for wheel rim choices..    If i get this - will this fit all around: Size: 18 x 8.5 +37 - n what tyres size tyre should i get for front n back?
    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
