Hi guys/gals

I have myself an R33 with aussie FTL ROH wheels :happy:

I've searched and searched and I can't seem to find any wheels I want so I need some help.

Here's the criteria: Jap, 17"-18" and under around $1800 (without tyres). I've been looking at URAS NS-01 but they're discontinued and the only size I've been able to find them in it 17 x 8 and I wanted the 17 x 9.5. I also love the bee*r wheels that are similar looking to the URAS but I don't think they're available in Aus. The Volk CE28N is a super sexy wheels but I'd say that would be stretching the budget a little!

Bee*R

URAS

Or maybe some sexy Wedsports

So any suggestions on wheels or where to go to buy em?

if you like the bee*r / uras wheel, dont be afraid at that price to get a set of drifteks. Cheap enough if ya break them and dont look that bad

Maybe shop around some of the traders to see whats coming across in containers second hand. XD9s look porn tho

Well, BEE-R's and URAS NS-01's are both discontinued.

XD9's are a very good wheel for the money.

And there's nothing wrong with the ROH's....... as long as they're the custom 3 piece modulars and not the mass produced cast wheels. I got mine in custom offsets/widths/face types for less that 2K, and in 4 stud too.

Have you Looked at 5 Zigen GN+ Racer wheels? Can have you a set here for under $1600. Or $1800 for 18's.

Your biggest problem is if you buy here, you're paying a huge markup on them...... if you order from japan, you'll save a ton. In saying that, it's not that Aussie buisnesses are slapping huge amounts of markup on them for themselves..... it's to cover buying the wheels, import taxes, customs duties, freight etc. and then their profit goes on top.

Jump on Nengun/Greenline.co.jp/Perfect Run etc and see if you can get a set delivered here?

Exactly what Id be doing.

Thanks for that advice. The 5zigens are a great looking wheel too, and much better priced. I'll check out the websites and have a search around.

Get the Rims through Jesse Streeter who is a regular importer of parts on NS.com... his email is [email protected]

He got my XD9's for me, and by the time i paid shipping via EMS (got them 3 days after he sent them) it cost around 1700 landed.

tell him what other rims your after and he will get you prices. His reputation is A1 and will not rip you off.

Another person to praise Jesse Streeter, looks like that's a good avenue for purchase.

$1700 perfect, just under budget :starwars:

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
