Hey guys,

I am waiting to hear back from the supplier, It was 4th July holiday in the US so communication is difficult at the moment.

As soon as I hear I will post up and PM you.

Cheers and sorry for the delay,

Johno

Last I heard was they were checking with ATI for delivery details, I rang them this morning and left a message (got up at 4am for nothing because its Sunday over there lol) plus I emailed there tracking dept and sales dept. I will try again tomorrow.

I apologise for the delay guys, I know some of you have track days coming up so I am pushing as much as I can to get them here asap.

Cheers

Hey all,

Balancers are on the way, they left the US last Friday via FEDEX 5-7 day service. As soon as they arrive I will be sending them out express.

Cheers,

Johno

So they haven't left?

^^^^^ I hope they've left the states.

Ill have to cancel my tune unfortunately. From what i can tell, ATI arent overly reliable in replying to emails etc, so maybe its to same with postage. I sincerly hope not though.

Thanks for your efforts anyway Johno. Keep us informed.

Shaun.

looks like i have to buy one tomorrow from rocket industries so mine will be up for sale

Sorry mate, I know you had a track day coming up and I was told we would have them here before then. As discussed, im happy to refund you the money mate. Had a few people interested in the ATI's after the close date or PM T04GTR.

I hope so too mate, sorry you had to cancel your tune.

So they haven't left?

I was advised at the time they had been sent off. The supplier is chasing ATI for deliver details as they were sent direct.

Johno, are you able to contact ATI to see whats going on?

Shaun.

+1. Starting to get fidgety, car booked in for early next month.

GW

PM's sent

Got yer pm thanks Johno, I am happy to make up amortised freight differential, if required. Keep at 'em, need me toys is all. Keep up the good work.

Cheers GW

Thanks mate :) , but I will make the difference if required, I doubt the difference will be more then what I would have paid retail over here anyway so no great lose. I quoted you guys a price and I take responsibility to deliver the

goods at that price..

Hopefully they wont be long.

Cheers

Johno

I hope you dont mind Johno, but i emailed Hybrid Performance and enquired about the delivery status of the balancers, as i need mine asap and didnt want to keep pestering you. This is their reply i recieved today:

"Hi,

As stated in the previous email to J'Z-R33, the Skyline parts are not readily available here in the states as we do not have these vehicles. These will take time for them to make it.

We should be receiving them today and as soon as they show up we will be shipping them out.

ATI sent the dampers out to us, but you have to realize that it takes about 3-4 days from them to us.

Best Regards,

Eric Siu

So i suppose it'll take another week then (at least).

    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
